Herm Edwards for the Eagles against the Giants. I want to say Pisarcek was the QB.

Not sure, but Eagles v. Giants (Miracle at the Meadowlands) in 1978 is the game/play which led to the true rise of every team moving to the victory formation.

Herm Edwards

Not an actual victory formation, but the first Baylor game I ever remember going to (back when things were right and we sucked dick), the Bears were actually beating UNLV and for some reason didn't kneel and fumbled and the Rebels housed it to win the game.

I will never forget how pissed off my dad got.

ETA: Just looked the game up. Baylor was leading 24-20 with 28 secs left in the game and fumbled near UNLV's goal line. The Rebels housed it 100yds to win the game.

That wasn't Victory as he was giving the ball to Csonka.

I know, the fumbled hand-off is what led to the widespread use of the victory formation

I just watched the video, and I stand corrected....Giants/Iggles was a botched handoff

That was just a botched FB dive when they were trying to run the clock out.

San Diego Chargers a couple years ago. I'm not sure if it was a true victory formation or if it was a Joe Pisaecik type play. I just remember the center snapped the ball and it jammed Rivers' fingers and he turned the ball over. The game was completely won by San Diego and they were just running the clock out, but the turnover caused the other team to score and win the game.

It was tied at 20 when that happened. They were playing conservative for OT

Yes. I was wrong, they were in field goal range at that point. My bad.
