I saw a couple rumors about there being new pedal offerings besides Hobie and Native Watercraft. My assumption is a pedal drive for the ATAK, etc from Wilderness Systems.

I wanted a set of Huk raingear, then I looked at the price and I was all like

Frog Toggs will continue to be fine.

I am very interested to see where Old Town puts that boat price wise.

I was going to guess $2300-2400 since this is their entry into the pedal drive market and the Slayer 13 Propel is $2599.

Yeah that's barely cheaper than the minn kota but right in line with the Hobie's and Slayer Propels, etc...

If that price is legit then I expect their sales to be terrible.

But that's the same as other pedal drive kayaks, so why would their sales be any different than Hobie, Native, etc...? Their predator series has excelled and the Minn Kota version is the industry standard for motorized kayaks.

ETA: The Old Town name carries a lot of weight in the NE and internationally (thanks in large part to their long-standing excellence in the canoe world) but you don't see it much in LA.
