Not necessarily beach..looking for something $100 or less a night..just for 2 people..

Looking at Toledo bend area right now but open to other suggestions..Florida beaches range $2-300 a night and is just too much for me right now..we don't need attractions, just somewhere to get away to and enjoy some time alone. Thanks

Edited from 5hours away to 3 hours away..I guess that's a little too far for my wife..

Going 6 hours and 30 minutes, just over what you want to drive...would land you in Hot Springs. Plenty of lakes around there to just relax.

Again, that's over your 5 hour limit...so

ERROR: We're sorry, your search criteria is too restrictive. Please clear your search and select fewer amenities.

Go up to Caddo Lake. The Texas side has some good places to stay near Jefferson.

Buy wife 50 Shades of Gray book
Trick wife into letting you tie her up
Load her in the car and drive wherever the frick you want

*Don't forget to finger her butt a few times while yall are on the road so she thinks it's still on

Ruston has plenty of hotels, a great park with a beach and one of the countries best bike trails. You can check out LaTech.

You have kids or just a couple?

If you have kids, the Sleep Inn has an indoor pool.

This weekend you likely will be able to o stay on the bridge for a solid half day at least once or twice and the view is sort of nice.

Pick a state park. All cabins are $89/night and some of the parks are very nice. I'm partial to Lake Fausse Point and Caney Lake.

Sorry dude, that price and nice view don't go together.
Best bet is to look at airbnb.com and see if you can get lucky

Natchez or Natchitoches are good choices. Nice small laid back towns on the water.

A little research and you are good to go.

If you can stretch that to about 4 hours, I would recommend Louisville, MS....the place has the feel of summer camp that you went to as a kid, but a whole lot quieter. just you and the lady and it will be nice and romatic, but if you bring that gaggle of kids, there will be plenty to keep them occupied. my company has meetings here occasionally and it is comfortable and casual as can be.

I would suggest the Renaissance on Bluebonnet or the Hampton Inn in New Iberia
