Marvin & Dudley would be redundant

Why?
They both are decent enough on defense and can shoot. We have no wing players other than Buddy and QPon.
Marvin is more of a 4 than a 3 in todays NBA.
I would think AD's opportunity to score would be a whole lot easier if you have 4 guys on the court that shoot close to 40% from 3, and can also play decent enough defense.
Jrue
Hield/QPon
Dudley
Marvin
AD
I like that lineup. Isn't a championship lineup, but you should be able to make the playoffs with that, if you had a decent coach, which we don't.

We don't have a starting SF, or a backup SF. Dante, while i like the guy and his hustle, should be third on the depth chart at SF.

Trade Reke and Asik to Sixers for Jahlil Okafor, Jeremi Grant, and Nik Stauskas (love the trade machine )

Okafor/Ajinca
Davis//Cunningham/Diallo
Grant/Pondexter
Hield/Stauskas/Hamilton
Holiday/Frazier

they both like to shoot the 3. Neither are really "wing" players. they are spot up shooters

Do we want Jodie Meeks? He's apparently available.

That is the exact type of guy I want as a placeholder at the SG position for a few months as Hield acclimates by coming off the bench

I'd prefer to spend our money on SFs that can push QPon into more SG minutes. QPon/Buddy and a few minutes a game from Jrue and Toney Douglas in case of emergency should be all you need at SG, and that's not even including Tyreke.

Also why would you trade Tyreke without even getting a decent back up guard with Jrue's history and don't expect to get 50 wins with Frazier as your pg.

Well, we would get a decent backup guard.

I say go for Crabbe, he is a damn good shooter and a capable defender. He does best as a spot up shooter which fits what we are looking for in 3

Holiday/Frazier/Evans/Barber
Evans/Hield/Ennis
Crabbe/Pondexter/Cunningham
Davis/Cunningham/Diallo
Asik/Ajinca

Also try and bring in a guy like Anthony Tolliver who can be your stretch 4 and another C who can bang down low

I'm fine with Q-Pon starting at 2 also if we get a SF

Bottom line, I want Buddy eased into the NBA. I don't want him having to do too much. Let him get his confidence up by torching 2nd units as Frazier sets him up. Then, around February, he can jump into the starting lineup

Do you think they will actively try and move Tyreke? (or any player, for that matter)

So, do you see Q at the 2 and someone like Dudley at the 3?

Dudley is the exact guy I was thinking of as an option if they strike out on Parsons, Batum, etc.

They have to do whatever it takes to get a SF that can make plays for others. Jrue is not a pure point and Buddy will likely be one of the worse passers/playmaking for others SG's in the league. You can't get just a catch and shoot SF, you gotta get one who can handle the ball in transition and the half court and makes plays for others

Those guys include

Batum
Parsons
Dudley
Evan Turner (worst case scenario)

A guy like Bazemore doesn't help because he is just gonna stand in the corner and shoot, or slash - similar to Buddy. You must, must, must get a SF who can set up other guys. Who has a high IQ, etc.

And yes, Tyreke COULD be that in theory, but as soon as they get the chance..... He gone

Makes sense.

I'm a Parsons fan but the injury history scares the shite out of me given our medical staff and what he will command. Don't think we have a chance at Batum.

I've always liked Dudley as a stop-gap SF.
