No doubt. Taking a pay cut to go, but I've always wanted to live there.

40 below isn't mild to anyone, and that is not the average winter temps in Billings.

Get yourself a passport if you don't already have one and don't be scared to head up into Canada. The Canadian Rockies are just as scenic as Glacier, with only about half the people.

I forgot to mention one thing... the women are pretty damn ugly up there. Good luck finding decent tail.

You actually working for P66 or one of the contractors? I'm in Billings working a project and we've got some guys starting up here over the next couple weeks.
Billings itself isn't too bad. Slower pace and not congested compared to back home (BR) which is really nice. A lot of stuff to do outside of Billings.

Are you married?

Montana is a long way from anywhere, many wives didn't like it there after moving. Guys normally love it. Just a heads up.

Other than that Billings has somewhat moderate climate for the state. It's been years but it was a decent sized city with just about anything you need.

Learn to backpack, fly fish, Xcountry ski, and you will have a blast.

Bourdain did a show there a few weeks ago, looks like small towns and wide open spaces. If you like the outdoors should be awesome, otherwise you'll likely be bored out of your mind

I'm single. I love to bow hunt, so hopefully I can get on some public land to hunt something other than white tails

The pic at the top is a nice view of Hidden Lake up by Logan Pass in Glacier National Park. I have one similar from when we went fishing in Montana last year. I hope you make it up there some day. You won't be disappointed.

Yeah I love the outdoors. That's the main reason I took the job. I went to Montana several years ago and loved it. Just wasn't sure what to expect from Billings

There is public land everywhere. Giant Mule deer in the hills. Good whitetail east of there.

Have fun.

Nice, the Bourdain show they discuss the polarizing new law about stream access, apparently if a steam crosses any public land you can follow it anywhere, even on to people's private property to fish it.

I think I caught that. Maybe it was another show. Landowner said he had no problem if someone wanted to walk 5-6 miles up the stream to fish haha
