this is even more rich, I'd like this fella to explain to me why he feels I 'fear hard work'. Obviously from this thread he enjoys trying to explain bullshite in his head that is just that, complete bullshite.

The Bible frequently uses "whole world" to refer to a specific region. Basically because of what you said--"world" meant the same thing as "land" or "region".

The Bible said the flood covered the mountains and the ark rested in the mountains of Ararat. That would seem to me like a world wide flood.

And for those that think that there wasn't enough water.....The oceans probably were not as deep at that time. Mountains grow over time too so they were not has high either. The earth was most likely one land mass at this time (pangea).

A wiser man than myself once told me tales of wonderful concepts such as "rain", and "oceans". Alas, those were simpler times then.

A time when the earth was largely a landmass, until the mighty ban hammer of the NCAA crashed thunderously down and tears of the rebellion filled the cracks of what was left with bittersweet liquid.

Pangea was during the Mesozoic era. Within that era were the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods.

In other words, the last time the world was one continent dinosaurs ruled the earth and basic small mammals were only just starting to appear.

occam's razor. It didn't.

Why so many people take the Old Testament as some sort of completely factual history but all the other mythology books are just stories baffles me.

its a fairy tale.

stop pretending you wonder about a fairy tale.

when the little tailor killed all 7 of the flies, he sewed, 7 at one blow.
after that, killing a giant was easy.

You are thinking about how things are today. Do you know the impact of the earth being covered in water for 150 days? BTW the continents are still connected. There is just water in the holes. And you don't have to be a jerk about. We can have a civil debate without the insults. There have been many things that were considered science at one time that have proven untrue.

but I ll defer Id love to hear your evidence for how and why it actually happened.

please provide evidence for a worldwide flood, the geologic column doesnst, the fossil record doesnt, convergent morphology doesnt, genetic bottlenecks dont, mtDNA doesnt, the fricking Chinese who have had record keeping going on 10000 years havent heard of a global flood and certainly werent wiped out because of it. so please thrall us

Bartender is one of the most prestigious jobs the world has ever known.

They are most people's emotional crutch. They listen to people's problems all day, and give out advice when they can or aproppiate, while also giving them medication.

They are basically a shrink who charges a shite ton less.

Wrong about this part. The Chinese have more than one flood myth, the most common being the Gun-Yu myth. - See more at: LINK
