I was reeling in a bass from my pond when this water snake grabbed on and wouldn't let go for about a minute. My brother snagged this picture right before it finally gave up. Has anyone else experienced this?

That Diamondback was definitely thinking "Go big or go home" when he latched onto that fish.

I'd be more worried about that black Panther on your dock.

Had a cottonmouth trying to eat a catfish out of my basket livewell a while back. Needless to say his mid section was too fat to get in and his mouth was full of catfish. He drowned, and I laughed

Ive had both a cottonmouth and Horned Owl hit a spinnerbait on different occasions. Never the actual fish though.

Use a decent size bait next time, you might catch a bigger snake?

My brother has a white perch and a water snake mounted together. we were fishing in my dad's pond when we noticed a commotion across the pond. the water snake had caught the fish and was dragging it onto the bank.
