Wilt played in in a similar era compared to Kareem in his younger days. Idk how you can throw Wilt in there and penalize Kareem

Yeah but take a serious look at who you're taking out. The same goes for Timmy. Look at Lester's Top 10 - if you put Kobe in the Top 10, you have to put Timmy. What 2 players are you dropping at that point?

Russell was on a team that was better than everyone else by a mile, and given the era he played in a career 15 PPG average isn't that impressive for a guy whose only real competition was Wilt.
If he had only say, 5 rings he'd be in nobody's top 10

1.Chamberlain averaged 45 minutes a game for his career
2.Chamberlain never fouled out of a game
3.He averaged 50 ppg game in a season, also 27 reb/gm in a season
4. Bill Russell is regarded as one of the best defenders of all time right? Wilt averaged 29 pts and 29 rebs vs him in 142 games, thats not a small sample size
So thats why Wilt is ahead of kareem for me. Would wilt be as dominant today? doubtful, but still if I had to choose, he'd be ahead of kareem just bc of how he put up numbers on russell whose one of the best defenders ever. You cant compare eras, like bob cousy probably wouldn't sniff a roster today, someone like john wall would destroy him. I still think Hakeem was the most skilled big ever and a young shaq was the most dominant big ever. Kareem was incredible, but like Wilt, I dont know how to judge him just based off the garbage competition he faced, not his fault that he was ahead of time but hakeem and shaq dominated the best big man era ever.

I understand, I'm just pointing out how difficult the 10 player cutoff is. Basketball is much better suited to a tiered ranking system.

Bitch was wrong language, but truthfully Shaq always had trouble guarding Duncan. Duncan averaged 25+ a game vs Shaq in the playoffs and that was unheard of. Other than Hakeem, Duncan is the only one I've seen go at Shaq and succeed
