But is he the people's MVP?!

Durant's placement in and of itself is more surprising than simply being behind Westbrook IMO.
I figured that they would be near each other, but only 23 voters left Westbrook out of the top 5, while 68 voters left Durant out of the top 5.

I may be the last guy standing with this, but i'd still want Chris Paul over Westbrook at PG if I were starting a team. And I love Westbrook.

i hope its accepted that lebron isn't even runner up any longer, he's in 3rd behind the man known as Kawhi.

Well with the votes being public, whoever didn't vote for him was gonna face lots of ridicule. And mabye even lose their vote.
Nobody would lose their vote

But it is a joke that he is the first unanimous MVP
Not really, the league is light on big time stars.

Obvious drive by post from someone who doesn't watch the current NBA is obvious.

Prior to Curry, the closest anyone came to becoming unanimous MVP were LeBron James (2013) and Shaquille O'Neal (2000), each one vote shy.

He deserves it. Ridiculous there hasn't been a unanimous one before, but glad that streak ended with Steph. More than worthy.

in 2013, Gary Washburn Gary Washburned.

Ridiculous there hasn't been a unanimous one befor
people keep saying this, but a lot of that is dependent on who else is stealing votes from the 1st place guy. In this case there was a clear separation between Curry and Leonard/Lebron
like Shaq in 2000, it was cut and dry. Its not always like that

Plus with social media like it is today it is much easier to shame someone for a dumb vote

Give me neither.
Westbrook couldn't even lead OKC to the playoffs with no durant.
Paul has never been out the second round in 10+ years.

Curry is the obvious answer for PG.
But I agree that I would rather have CP over Westbrook .
