I'd say that article completely sums out exactly how I feel

Obvious Pats did it. Any non-biased person now accepts this

It isnt the reason the won. Any non-biased person accepts this

Pats and their fanbase acted like spoiled assholes when the story first came out

Penalty is ridiculous

Having a hard time feeling sorry about the ridiculous penalty because of how douchey and pompous the Pats and Kraft acted

That's not the point of the article. Read that first metaphor. They didn't do anything terrible, but the Pats reaction to it made it worse.

Much worse. Pats front office, players, and fans want to tell you how stupid and insignificant the whole thing is while simultaneously acting like they're as pure as the driven snow and they'd never stoop to this level. It doesn't work that way.

As tiring as this story is becoming, I do appreciate the conviction from both sides. Neither has backed down, and on some perverse level, I can respect that, even if it is such a trivial place to take a stand.

just split the difference, give him 2 games and let's move on...

they'll go 1-1 probably and still finish 12-4 and then brady will look even better if they go to the superbowl

I don't know about all that. Seems a little extreme

That article had Dan Shaughnessy written all over it even before I clicked and saw it actually was his writing. Dude does nothing but blatantly troll Boston fans and try to get cheap clicks by riling up the fanbase. Dude is a total stooge for the league and whomever else is pulling his strings. He's New England's Jeff Duncan.

Exactly

If a kid gets caught taking a cookie and owns up to it the punishment will be a lot less severe than if they scream "frick you prove I took that cookie" at the parents.

As a Saints fans, I say tough shite to the Patriots and the other fanbases and franchises who blindly jumped on the Goodell, NFL narrative bandwagon during Bountygate and had no complaints when the Saints had Payton not only suspended for the year, but banned from contact with anyone in the organization, on top of draft picks lost.

If any organization deserves to be hit, it's the Patriots for being repeat offenders and for cheating with the intent of gaining a competitive advantage.

frick Goodell, the Patriots, and the rest of the league. Hell knoweth no fury like a Saints fan scorned.

Is this satire? The wells report had a major agenda. It came to the conclusion it was paid to come to. Of course "an agenda-less" person would come to that conclusion by reading the report that was just as biased as anyone that wouldve been released by Tom Brady himself.

What a joke of an article.

If by that you mean, have a history of not playing by agreed upon rules, then yes.

The punishment was certainly a part revision of Spygate which Goodell admitted he flubbed and let the Pats, walk.

The only thing I don't agree with is removing the draft pick why are you making future NFL players suffer by taking two less players in the NFL draft why not give those pics to the Colts instead of just removing them altogether

Damn, that is a great article considering it's usually a homer read.

The Nixon watergate comp is spot on - so greedy to see what they can get away with; its part of their thrill
