A preliminary agreement has been reached on the 2.0 Diesels. Final plan of action due to the court on June 21, preliminary public hearing on July 26.
So in short, don't expect to see a clear explanation of the plan of action until July 26, and don't expect action any time soon.

220K is a heckuva lot on a 2012.
You should send VW an extra $5K.

They should trade me a new one and study it to see what held up and what didn't.

No, I have a friend that is a mechanic. Maintenance has been pretty limited besides last summer when the timing belt and particulate filter needed work. The plan was to replace the particulate filter, but due to supply problems we ended up shipping mine to the NE and had it cleaned. It came back 100% cleaned for ~50% of the cost of a new one. Wedge Kyes in Baton Rouge handed this work.

My guess is drivetrain did OK.
Interior bits, paintwork, switchgear; kinda suspect.
Suspension components would vary depending on type of driving you did mostly. I'm gonna guess front struts are shot.

I still have original brakes, still have about 30% last time we checked.

The do squeak, especially if the car has set up for a couple of days.

So it appears to be a set deal. I'm more than happy with $5,100 + the $1,000 I've already received. I will not be getting any modifications to my car.

After removing the computer cheat, the MPG will be significantly lower.
So you'll just have to drive faster to get better gas mileage.

Can't wait to read the details on this.
frick I don't want to buy a vehicle right now.
ETA: looks like I don't need to worry about it from a quick glance. Nothing will happen this year.

I need to sell mine due to moving but I don't want to miss out on the pre scandal value and the goodwill money. Do need to park it and wait for the settlement?

I haven't read that deeply into this latest release but I'm sticking with my original guess that nothing is officially announced until September.

Deadline is June 28 for the details to be finished.
It looks like:
Buyback of car at Bluebook Value pre scandal.
$5001
-or-
Free "fix" of car.
$5001
So essentially just enough to buy another VW
