If the competition is boarderline or even close to boarderline enough to to make an argument you'll pull for anybody but Hurts even though he has the most available years left to play. I'm not sure why?

GTFO of here with this crap. Nobody on this board gives one single frick about what you're insinuating. The only thing we care about is the team winning a bunch of damn games, making the SECCG and the CFPO CG.

Whomever the starting QB is will be the player Coach Saban and Kiffin believe gives the team the best chance to win the next game this year.

History shows coach Saban will choose a more experienced older guy, one that will make the least mistakes but still has the necessary tools to get the job done.

Hurts might be the best option at some point in his career but I seriously doubt that will be this year. One practice game where the competition is very different doesn't prove who's the best. There's a big difference in playing vs the 1st team defense vs the 2nd/3rd team. To think otherwise is foolish.

I just want the team to play the best they can and have a chance to win the SEC and make the CFPO. I want all the players to succeed when their number is called upon to play.

GTFO with your race baiting !

No one is race baiting....I'm just saying what a lot of people feel and just too politcally correct to say anything. Anytime someone makes a reference to what I'm saying everyone gets soooo defensive. Hell, many of you didn't warm up to Blake Sims until halfway through the season. That young man had to learn several positions while at the Capstone from running back to quarterback and if he made a mistake people were calling for his head. Some of you asses are racist and don't even realize it. Until you are a part of it you don't realize how prevalent it still is. I remember Tyler Watts being allowed to mess up over, and over, and over and people still stood behind him. UA has an ugly stigma still associated with it and black quarterbacks. There's a reason we've only had 2 or 3 starters in the history of the program. If you can't see that you're either stupid, naive, or just plain dumb. What I'm saying is historically blacks have not been given the same leniency and time to develope at that position as whites. Saban is the best thing that has happened to the University in more ways than one. He's going to play the person who he thinks is going to give him the best opportunity to win regardless of color and if you don't like it, you can stick it where the sun don't shine. I'm venting because I already see people in here formulating excuses against Hurts from one damn practice scrimmage. He's been on campus for 4 MONTHS!!!! If he's ALMOST as good as the other guys whose been in the system over a year that's pretty impressive for a true freshman whether you want to admit it or not. I'm not even saying he should start....I'm just saying give the young man a chance before you start ridiculing.
Really.....some of you are biased and don't realize it. Some of you are biased and don't give a damn.

Oh and Wrangler....you say "Nobody on this board gives one single frick about what you're (me) insinuating. The only thing we care about is the team winning a bunch of damn games, making the SECCG and the CFPO CG." Well....speak for yourself. That's another problem. Just because YOU may not care or be biased/racist you think it doesn't exist. Get your damn head out the sand and open your eyes. There are stupid people everywhere....we just happen to have a few more than many other places.

Sorry I'm just saying what needs to be said. I graduated from the UA and love it. I just don't like some of the fans at times.

Did Bateman not make more mistakes than Hurts? I realize he was going against the 1s. That might have been why he looked timid and whatnot, I'm not sure. Not sure I saw an incredibly experienced QB who doesn't make mistakes, though.
