I'm on ps4. Just found the locked gate in the sewers. Trying to figure out how to get this item on a hanging body in a ravine To fall.

Anyone else immensely enjoying PVP? Seems like I'm finally good at parrying.

I've enjoyed the little bit I've done, but haven't been able to find alot of action at low souls levels and early areas.

Just alot of blue sentinal summons, and the occasional red soapstone I discover.

I'm hardly ever even getting invaded by other players, and have yet to find any fight clubs or dedicated PVP areas. Of course, I'm only to the Ithryll of the Boreal valley, so that probably has alot to do with it.

ETA: I was going to try doing the wolf covenant at farron keep. I'm around SL 50, so maybe there will be some action for me there.

I get invaded pretty much constantly if I restore my ember.

It's fun bc I'm WAY better at PVP than I though, that or the Refined Dark Sword is really that good

it's used by 99% of PVPers and definitely needs a nerf

too highly leveled. i left the wolf item on and never got summoned. you basically have to play the game like normal and get to teh wolf, put the item on, then stop leveling

That frost thing guards the entrance to the next area, but you still have stuff to do in undead settlement.

The sewer where the rat is works as a shortcut from the dillapidated bridge bonfire to that tower. Make sure to open it up.

Also in that sewer is a locked gate. If you found the ashes in that level, the shopkeeper lady will have a sewer key for you to open that door. That's how you get to that ravine with the crystal lizards you've been seeing on your way to the tower.

You should also help the onion knight (Seigbreau or whatever) fight the stray demon before leaving.

What are you playing on? If XBONE I'll jump on for some coop with you tonight and help you through.

all I have to say is... I'm really glad I made that super detailed map for him now... I guessed correctly

Save for DS2, I've always sucked at pvp. I'm not good at any form of competitive multiplayer. It's just not my thing.

Ha! That's my feelings exactly... I think my problem stems from refusing to be "in meta" and never having much armor.

That's basically my problem. I'm not a 'if you can't beat em, join em' type of player. If that means getting r1nd and stunlocked to death by pre-patch meta bullshite than so be it. Right now pvp is buff stacking dark sword or spamming the l1 of the Farron Greatsword.

I suck at pvp. Damn.

I don't think Longsword +10 is too successful. May switch it up

I was using the Dark Sword for PVP and doing well but I found some other weapons I actually like better. Really loving the Winged Halberd for PVP right now.
Refined Infusion
Buffed
Good Hyperarmour effect
Good range and tracking
Great speed and damage

Been following this thread awhile, and finally started 3 last nite, my first From experience.

Played 4 hrs, started getting hammered by the knight following the dragon part of the High Wall. Was realllly struggling on that stage, then i watched some playthroughs and noticed how underleveled my knight was. All my gundyr souls are being guarded by the firelink swordsman so i havent leveled up yet. Prob start from scratch again this afternoon.

Just do the ole "run and grab your souls and get back as close to the bonfire as you can" technique.

Or get on top of the roof with the tree trick and then shoot him down with a bow from safety

RIP your souls.

They gone.

If you die a second time they are gone forever.

Well I have a new favorite boss in the souls series... fought to amazing fights last night and it was a blast:

Champion Gundyr.. absolutely horrible fight, but an incredible ending that had me screaming at the TV, it was awesome. This fight was amazing

Dragonslayer Armor - This fight was so much fun to learn

At the end of the day, I actually think I liked Dragonslayer more than Champion, took a few more tries, but once I beat him it was a much much more flawless fight

the hard lessons we learn from our first FROM game...

I can remember in ds1 going to the wall to fight the dragon, I had 3 levels worth of souls "I'll just finish this up and have a bunch of levels, it'll be great" - died pretty quickly - "eh, I'll just blow through these stupid enemies I've fought 5 times before and had no problems, but I need to get back to my souls, so I'm going to be reckless... because, I mean, do I really have to pay attention to these lesser foes?!?! I've beat them so many times, they shouldn't be a problem" - gangbanged by 3 lesser mobs and absolutely trashed

:turnsOffDS1: - I didn't go back to the game for another year after that...
