Armor was awesome, but too easy once you figured him out. I did like that they forced you out of the "big guy with big weapon, so I'll hug him" mindset. He bitchslaps you with that shield and forces you to play the midrange game

well I beat champion on my 2nd attempt, wheras it took me playing Armor 8 times to beat him... so maybe I just beat Champion too fast or something, but I really enjoyed learning Armor over Champion (because I didn't have to learn Champion as much... he was dead on my 2nd attempt )

Armor is one of the few bosses that feels like a proper Souls fight.

the frick? how? i had to sunbro for him and got 30 sunlight medals before i beat him solo. i beat armor on my 2nd try, and wouldve beat him on hte first if i didnt go in with 2 estus. when i finally beat gundyr, it wasnt pretty for him. parried him like 8 times and beat his arse.

what weapons are yall using? i havent used anything besides the longsword. probably wont for the rest of this playthrough either.

took out the ancient wyvern last night. fun little mini-boss, but i wish that the head drop was just like a 1st phase deal. should've dropped on his head, take out his health bar, he swoops up to another platform with you on his back where his health refills and you fight him 1v1 in a normal dragon-type fight.

My goal is to finish all bosses for my first play-through tonight. I'm at Gundyr right now, myself. He kicked my arse last night.

Then I will start covenant farming, then re-spec one last time for NG+.

I've decided to just go quality build (40/40), with 30 faith w/fully upgraded sunlight straight sword.

There's another Wyvern, but it's no Kalameet. It's a DS2 type fight - just hit its legs and avoid its foot stomp. You get some good upgrade materials from it though.

I beat the last 3/4 of NG+4 with the sunlight straight sword. I have 40 in faith and scales a bit off of it, and it's the only weapon I've seen that can be buffed when upgraded with twinkling tits.

Some bosses are harder than others for different people...? You can watch the fight in the page before this one, it wasn't pretty, but I did it

I've been using the Uchi, I'm sure there are even better katanas... but I just wanted to try a Katana game for once (I'm always going long sword, curved sword, or spear in Dark Souls) .. and the Uchi was the first one I got use to, so I've just kinda stuck with it.

I one handed against the twin princes and was doing about 300 ar; it might have just been at +4 as well. Not bad at all. I've also become fond of the nameless King swordspear.

Change of plans for me tonight, as fextra is having a Darkmoon event! Unfortunately I've already killed Aldrich, so I can't host, but I am going to be swapping between Aldrich invading & Darkmoon blading.

More info on the event: Starts at 8 Central

The gist is you go to ANOR LONDO bonfire, then just start rotating between Way of Blue, Aldrich Faithful, and Darkmoon Blade. If, like me, you've already killed Aldrich then you just swap between invading as Aldrich faithful, and DMB to get summoned. This should help a ton of people get their proofs.

I have no idea if it's even going to work, as I'm sure most people are going to be DMB, but I'm going to try. They also recommend being around levels 90-120. I'll probably try to get to 100 before 8 PM. Shouldn't be a problem.
