Are these pretty much all student housing, or is it a mix?
I lived there a few years ago. It's pretty much all students, but I saw some older people living there. Wasn't sure if they were people coming back to college or not.

It used to be majority students, but recently... lets just say they relaxed the credit requirements to get a lease.

Wrong that ended about a year ago with all the new places being built around it. Sorority and fraternity people started to leave it while some ghetto people started to move in.

The giant apartment complex bubble is going to be a disaster for BR. Eventually you'll have section 8 on all sides of campus.

They keep building more all the time
How much longer can this go on? The new places barely get to half occupancy if that.

I wish trump would campaign on abolishing section 8. Would do more good than anything else

There was supposedly a third victim as well.

At what point is it just time to get the family together and leave Louisiana?

All section 8 does is spread out problems. At least with housing projects we know which general areas are fricked.

The people in City Parish "planning" that allowed all those appartments to go up should be made to live there.

It'll only get worse if TOPS gets the axe. Parents who were once paying a few hundred bucks or nothing at all towards tuition will be staring down $5-6000 a semester plus the high rent these places charge.

This is very true.

I got a questionnaire from HUD when I was moving out of Southgate about allowing poor people to move there. One of the people up front told me they were trying to force section 8 on them. That was just from her, so tifwiw
