Let's just say one team mate had an ordeal with another teammate who did nothing about the situation for the better of the team. It never helped

Forget the shrink.
We need an exorcist.

With better coaching probably. But BS, AB, CV, and TQ had to play well every game.

If they'd just played well most games we'd be in the tournament. I just don't think the culture of the program provided enough structure to allow that.

Oh shut the frick up. He's a top 5 player in LSU history.

No way. Just because the media hypes himup as abasketball god doesn't mean that he is the greatest thing to step on the court.

I don't think Simmons was as great as advertised.

He pulls in double doubles, sure, but so do a lot of players in the NCAA. I don't see how he is good enough to be a one and done guy

You have no idea what you are talking about then. He is not only one and done, but the unanimous top pick. No player in SEC HISTORY has been in the top 5 in the league in points, rebounds, and assists.

quote:LSU has been plagued with chemistry issues in the locker room this season, and sources said renowned sports psychologist Dr. Joe Carr was at LSU twice this season to help Coach Johnny Jones try to create a culture of accountability and work with Simmons. Dr. Carr sat behind the LSU bench for at least one nationally televised game. "Simmons is dealing with an epic amount of pressure and distractions but he is a future global superstar," one source said. "Simmons totally bought into the team chemistry exercises," the source continued. "He was fully committed to being a better leader and teammate. Not certain everybody else did." perfect example today: quarterman tries to call a huddle after a foul, gathers everyone to talk and patterson just walks away. could see tim shaking his head.

At the end of the day its the job of the head coach to mesh the personalities and egos of the players into a team.

How can anyone watching not see the horrible attitude of Tim Quarterman? He was the worst this season. Terrible wasted leadership opportunity.

I really can't. All I'll say you you can guess who the culprit is. I know you will say I'm making stuff up but I just can't elaborate on the incident for a reason.

Maybe Simmons will be a better player because of his time at LSU. He already knows winning isn't easy. Many of the Kentucky one and done kids struggle to cope on the crappy NBA teams that draft them.

Maybe he should recruit great/good players with stronger character.

Oh ok. Man you would make a great coach. You have it down so easy. Just recruit great players with great personalities and who give it their all all the time.

Championships every season.

Watch players in high school who dominate. It's hard to tell how players will react when they struggle with losing or playing against better players. It's just different. We had players at selu that we thought were great people and program people who ended up being the biggest douches

Yeah, but they're older. Simmons is doing it as a freshman.
