Jabari Parker could fetch more than a "5-9" pick, a semi-decent player, and a guy who's gonna make Monroe destroying their defense even funnier.
They're shopping Monroe for a reason, now you want them to add another negative big man that doesn't fit their system?

Is this Parkers first yr returning from ACL surgery? Jabari has more of shot to make an tangible affect on his team the next 2 years than the others listed.
Yes, he hasn't even played 82 total NBA games yet. He's still developing but he's shown he can play in the league. drafting outside the top 5 vs a 20 year old guy who can actually play?
Reminds me of Paul Millsap, who didn't even develop a long range game until his 8th year in the league (and 3 years at Tech). Parker at least flashed distance and can shoot - don't think he's as much of a 1 way forward as described above
Milwaukee would laugh at pretty much anything we offered them for Parker anyway (bc why take a pick when ya got a 20 yo future all star

At this point I'm like screw it let's try hitting it ourselves.
I'd love to somehow get that Toronto pick that was discussed in that other thread.

That def seems like the most realistic trade option thus far

Jabari Parker.
Big duke fan here, and parker is so overrated. Not a good defender, coming off an ACL injury, and lacks a position. Not a good fit here. He looks very uncertain with Milwaukee.

Chad Ford is still pitching the Detroit deal.
Ryan Anderson and Tyreke Evans
for Stanley Johnson, Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyasova.
The more I read about the looming offseason, lots of people are thinking that this Tobias Harris method could be the future with the rapidly expanding cap.
Forget the straight up sign and trade. Not good enough.
Sign Ryno to the deal he wants, then trade him a few months later.
Sign and trade? maybe get a 2nd.
Sign and wait, and trade? maybe get a 1st.

why we didn't pick Cj McCollum
I've been told by this board that he sucks.
Trolling aside, it's like the pels want to cut out their draft budget and pocket the money. Why scout when yoy can sign role players at a higher price than other rookies or young players on cheap rookie deals? Makes too much sense. Who needs rookies when you can get Jrue and Asik! They're championship builders!!!

Milwaukee wouldn't trade him, but I also think he is a poor fit. We don't have 8 years for him to develop an outside shot. Also not sure what metric you are looking at to say he's not a 1 way player. Bucks are much worse on defense with him in the game. Coach K pulled him in college. He's not quick enough to guard 3's on the perimeter and he doesn't give much effort vs 4's. He will be a player in this league because he can score, but he is a poor fit to build around with Davis. He will get better, but I think he will always be a below average defender and never a good 3 pt shooter. If we didn't already have a franchise PF, then mortgaging to get Jabari makes more sense.
I also think Dumars might be aiding with the draft (not as gm, but consultant) so perhaps we can actually find a player ourselves.

Internet rumors or you know a guy who's cousin is dating a team janitor?

Dumars a draft consultant would be fantastic.

Am I wrong though?
You guys are so dead set on trying to bring in somebody for Davis. You could've drafted some decent players last few years.
I like the Pels. Even though I like to watch this board melt (kinda hard to have a real melt with ~15 active posters) but I want to see AD battling it out in the playoffs, not going for another lotto pick after he's been in the league for four seasons.
To contribute to the thread, as another poster pointed out, no way in hell does Milwaukee want RA. They want to get rid of Monroe because of DEFENSE. Bringing in Anderson does absolutely nothing to help that.
