Better Caul Saul - Season 2 pregame discussion (S1 Spoilers)

Figured we could generate some discussion leading up to next week's S2 premier.
I haven't done a rewatch of S1 yet so a lot of the details are fuzzy but I did catch the S1 finale the other day. In the last scene we see Jimmy turning his back on a really sound opportunity for him and his career, in favor of basically turning to the dark side and devoting his work to making money. I'm not sure where he's going or what his immediate plans are, or what's going to happen to Chuck.
Any thoughts or feelings on where we're at as of now?

they've taken what was the worst character on BB (in the beginning) to possibly the most complex
i was already a fan prior to this spin-off.

same, and after I finished BCS I remember thinking it was so good that it could stand on its own even if BB never existed.
My biggest fear before this show even started was that they were going to try to capitalize on BB's success. On the contrary, there's maybe a hat tip or 2 to BB but for the most part the show just does its own thing. Man vince is a badass.

Yeah, I was a little disappointed with the whole Chuck and his a-hole partner thing, until they revealed it was Chuck screwing Jimmy the whole time. I wonder how Jimmy will get even with Chuck now... Hhhhmmmm.
And the development of the Jimmy - Mike relationship is interesting too.

Saul was one of the best from the jump, mate.

that was one of the best twist ever in character development. When you find out it was Chuck all along who was keeping Jimmy down. Especially after all Jimmy did for Chuck.

Geez, it was so tough watching Saul realize it was chuck the whole time. Frick him.

When does S2 start?
Monday. I'm not sure if that's midnight Sunday or midnight Monday, but Monday is a holiday so I'm off work, so obviously I'm hoping that's midnight Sunday so I can go ahead and knock it out on day 1.

I'm hoping things get a lot crazier this season
he was trying to stay legit and impress chuck last season but in end it was all for nothing
And remember he regretted not taking the money the kettlemen's stole when he had the chance
This season should be all about becoming the Saul we know and love from breaking bad
also really interested in seeing what happens with Mike this season who's he gonna be doing dirt for? I imagine their gonna have to introduce Gus eventually
Or if not Gus there's gonna have to be some kind of major player maybe the guy tuco works for that Saul is already familiar with

I'm interested to see how they eventually handle the name change. How does he pull this off while remaining in the same city?

I'm on my re-watch (Episode 8) right now and it's actually MUCH better the 2nd time. You just absolutely feel the struggle and pain throughout the season for Saul and for him to be fricked over by Chuck... shite is crucial
BTW -- I think it was Episode 6 ("Five-O"), beginning to end, that episode holds its own against any of your favorite BB episodes.

The Tuco episode was one of the best hours of tv in all of 2015.

I hope something horrible happens to Chuck. Also, I'm curious how the dynamic with Jimmy & Kim plays out.

I need to do a complete re-watch.Haven't thought about it.
Jimmy and his scams in Chicago were great.

I really can't wait to see what happens to Chuck. I'm sure it will be glorious.
