Please come and enjoy this fantastic event that my local church/community host every year, especially if you guys enjoy Vietnamese food. Its a FREE and VERY SECURED(this actually only time the cops in the east actually do their job) admission/parking event, its a three day event:
Friday 12th 6pm-10pm
Saturday 13th 10am-11pm
Sunday 14th 10am-10pm

Also there's live entertainment that will be playing all day/night. During Saturday and Sunday 1pm-5pm, KARMA and GROOVY 7 will be playing at the fair. (They are two of the best cover bands locally)

Location: Mary Queen of Vietnam Church
14001 Dwyer Blvd
New Orleans, LA 70129
Tel: 504-254-5660

If you guys have any questions, just ask away. I'll be at the event myself volunteering like usual but I'll be more than happy to show you guys around and suggest some goodies to try!!!

I have two classmates that play in Groovy 7, this may be a good time to go check them out!

Great band... something I look forward to every year. It's also less congested during the time they play so you don't have to wait in long lines for food and bump into a million people.

Are you and the kiddies coming down this weekend? FYI they expanded the Mother Choir group by giving them an extra tent, there's a few new dishes on the menu, also Groovy has a new member.

One of my favorite festivals of the year. Love the true volunteers cooking, rather than the rented-restaurants booths at so many fests. I had good tamales, of all things, a few years back...apparently the church parish now has more than a few Hispanic families.

Always a nice, low key good time. I bought a brush painting one year that still hangs in my house.

They have a big parking lot right across from the church with security guards and lighting. Very easy to park.

Dragon dance was at 7:00 last night. Not sure when it will be tonight. It's just a fun experience. We didn't bring our kid, but if you have them it's a really fun atmosphere.
