I can't convince you that EG/Ryno/Asik is better than Mozgov/Love this year.
So, tell me which team you would rather have NEXT season.

1.)
Starting: Dwight/Ryno/Lebron/EG/Kyrie
BENCH: Asik/Thompson/Varejao/Iman/JR/Mo

2.)
Starting: Mozgov/Love/Lebron/ ? $15mm /Kyrie
Bench: Thompson/Varejao/Iman/JR/Mo

3.)
Starting: Dwight/Lebron/Jae Crowder/JR/Kyrie
Bench: Thompson/Varejao/Iman/Mo

How do they add Dwight with that payroll?

ETA - trading for Crowder makes them a better team and saves them a boatload in luxury tax

And all analytic and numbers say they have not been. Ryno and Asik take Love and Mozgov's minutes, but add in EG and he takes Delly, Shumpert, or Smith's and those 3 are equivalent to him.

You also have to remember the numberical stats like PPG that EG/RYNO put up are only there because they have the attempts in NOLA. They won't combine for 26 attempts a game.

Ryno v Love being the primary objective, Love has been a better defender in his career and even more so this year, better passer and rebounder, but worse shooter this year.

You look at more advanced stats and Love brings a positive box +/- whereas Ryno brings a negative box +/- due to his extremely porous defense.

EG is a better shooter and ball handler than Shumpert and Smith, but he's a far worse defender then them as well. vastly worse DRTG 112 to Shumpert's 102 and Smith's 104.
but overall better offensive threat than both showing his offensive box +/- is 1.8 to Shumpert's -1.6 and Smith's 1.2, only his defense +/- is -2.2 to Shumpert's +1.4 and SMith's -0.1. Pretty much a wash.

Then Mozgov and Asik? It is pretty much a lateral trade, but you take on Asik's contract for a long time.
