#Clippers forward Blake Griffin injured his right hand after hitting a member of the team's equipment staff during an argument in Toronto LINK
The altercation started in a restaurant. It proceeded outside where Griffin hit the equipment staffer multiple times. #Clippers
translated: Staffer bumped into him on accident, Blake flopped and landed on his hand.

We should be celebrating any bad happenings with Clippers. After all, the team was stolen from Sterling, no matter what a POS he is.

nah. they went all in on a guy who has the emotional maturity of a 7 yr old.
they got the body, but not the brain.
for a while there I thought I was wrong about him. he seemed to be working on his game.
I never would have picked him.
For two years I thought I was wrong on him.
I thought I was wrong. I was right.

He didn't say heavy discipline, he said fired. And if you think 99% of workplace fights end in firings I don't know what to tell you.
A suspension sure.

those equipment staffers have had it too good for too long, glad Blake decided to finally step up and humble one of them

There is a lot of truth in that, but you also have to agree that he'd be picked up by a competitor in a heartbeat. The same is true for any profession where you're as elite as Blake Griffin is at basketball.

I would say the employee would be fired the vast majority of the time.

On top of this, it happened in Toronto, so there could be some serious legal ramifications. Canada actually has some pretty harsh laws about traveling there if arrested/convicted of certain crimes.

In other professions, keeping someone who punched someone else isn't worth it. That person isn't important enough to the company to justify keeping him.
There are very important people at some companies who can get away with it just like Blake Griffin because they are important enough to keep.

depends on who you are and your value to the company. also, this happened off the job, not in the workplace.

All things considered, not the worst day for that staffer.
He's probably going to get paid and at least has the satisfaction of knowing Griffin paid the price by getting his hand busted.

You don't get fired based on what you do, per se, it's your actions in relation to how valuable you are to your company. If the 12th dude on the bench did this, he would have been released already.
It's based on value, and that's how it should be.

Not sure why no mention of this.

Reportedly upset over an unpaid $600 debt, former teammate IK Enemkpali delivered a sucker punch to Smith’s jaw in August, forcing Smith to undergo surgery and miss six to 10 weeks of playing time. The NFL suspended Enemkpali four games, and Smith decided not to press charges.
Hence, I agree with
