They certainly knew how to keep Georgia fans off their field. Try turning that hose on your own fans and see if it doesn't work.

I was a kid, but I remember seeing shirts that said on the front "If you can't beat 'em. Hose 'em".

That had to be in the mid 80's, because i was fairly young and it was cold as frick, like today. Back before Global Warming fricked the seasons up and it got cold in November thru February intead of January-March.

Doesn't really apply, as an anecdote, I remember in the late 90s, maybe '98-'00, someone snuck their truck onto UGA's field and did donuts. It did some serious damage to the field with the drainage and sprinkler systems. It was right before the season started and I think you could still tell when they started playing. Seems like I remember seeing it on a JP game after hearing about it from one of my professors who graduated from UGA.

Oddly enough, we don't need to use sprinklers on our basketball floor.
