It would weed out the over rated teams. Get really good match ups in final four.

Until the #9 team kills their bowl opponent 57-0.

Im not sure what the answer is at this point. The only team at this point that I think are out that should be in is Ohio State.

This is stupid. Two of the teams didn't belong this year and you want four more that don't either?

Or 6 and the top 2 seeds get byes. That way the regular season is still extremely important because you want the bye.

No we don't....WTF could afford to travel 3 times during December/early January...not to mention the conference championship games in early December. Top 4 rewards great regular seasons...not good ones. You go to 8 and people will be screaming for 16 the the next week. The CFB regular season is the greatest in all of sport for a reason. JMO

Need to reduce regular season games by 2 and all conferences have a championship game. That would weed out and shed more light on the top teams. This would also force Notre Dame to join a conference.

8 teams would be correct number. This number of teams would help the teams that play in a really tough conference.

Play the 4 games the week before New Years at the 4 top seed stadiums.

Ten teams.

Two "play-in" games to bring it to eight.

Bama is the best team. Want nothing to do with that.

It's college football, the regular season IS the playoffs. That's what makes the college football regular season the best in all of sports. BCS had it perfect. You must run your schedule and you must play a tough schedule so you can get ranked #1 or #2 in the final rankings. If you don't run your schedule, then you should just be thankful if the cards happen to fall your way and you still get in.

Why since #1 and 2 got to the finals. Hell, we didn't need 4 this year.

4 is enough.

If you're ranked #8 then you shouldn't be in there. You didn't win your conference. The only exceptions are the Boise's and the Houstons who may do something deserving.

This will never stop. Bowl results will always lead to 20/20 hindsight about who should have made it. What if Iowa got into an 8 teamer this year instead of OSU? That wouldn't have helped anything.
