Anybody created an app? I'm trying to create one and want to avoid Xcode. So any advice? Any easier software or template program?

Update on 2nd page... now looking for a programmer (xcode) and will write the scope. Simply dont have time to learn developing.

There's plenty of ways you can build an IOS app outside of Xcode, but as far as I know most methods will still need Xcode to compile the IPA and provision for app store submission. If you don't have a Mac, you can use something like MacInCloud for the final stages before submitting your app. I think Cordova(formerly PhoneGap) may be able compile the app on their servers for you.

What kind of app are you trying to build? If it's something relatively simple there's a bunch of services out there to build cross platform apps. You can try Goat Apps

Using Xamarin now. It's easy if you already know C# and it makes it possible to create a single app that can be deployed across iOS, Android and Windows without a lot of extra work. You will see need XCode and a mac to deploy.

Build it as a web app with meteor. JavaScript wins the day.

If you need help getting going, let me know.

Part two of this thread:
This app is a search database with required filters. The data can be found on other websites. Would be easier to take that data and enter into a SQL server or legal to link to other websites?

Thanks for the help and sorry to be vague but gotta protect my intellectual property from you Zukerberkers.
