Someone needs to get Chris Nakumoto on this story.

Surely he could bring them down.

I always read Riverside Towing threads for the laughs, dozens of people will bitch and moan about the evils of Riverside and at the same time admit they were parked illegally.

How have people not retaliated when it was an illegal tow or when damage was done to the car. I am not going to pay for something I shouldn't without making them pay as well.

I admit I got annoyed when I got a ticket (not towed, thankfully) for an expired inspection sticker. It expired at the end of May and I got the ticket June 1. I knew it was expiring and was planning on getting it taken care of the first Saturday of June since I didn't have time during the work week. It was annoying, but technically I was in the wrong so I just paid the ticket and moved on about my business.

First, although I haven't dealt with it, people claim that local police will tend to take the side of the towing company. Second, suing is expensive and takes time. It probably is easier and cheaper to just take care of damage yourself rather than going through the hassle of trying to make them pay.

“Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md) ... knows the experience too well. “I was at a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, literally ran in for takeout,” he explained. His car was towed in “less than 90 seconds,” he said.

And now we know why Congress suddenly decided to take-up this important issue.

Surely this investigative reporter will find the truth for us college people. He is the fricking alpha and omega of investigating.

Was your car towed to one location and then later towed to the Riverside Towing lot??? That practice is very illegal. I have seen multiple posts here by people who say that happened to them. The State Police caught Riverside Towing doing this a few years back and charged them with multiple counts of illegal towing. The state police apparently were not aware of all of the illegal activities mentioned here. If you ever find this occurring, please take photos and video the activities. Then please report it to the State Police.
