STM has twice the enrollment of Parkview, should be playing in Div 1.

STM and Teurlings took the easy way out. Maybe when Parkview beats them both STM and Teurlings can try division 3

Louisiana shouldnt have 9 state champions, but i dont wanna beat the dead horse some more.

Oh, what the hell, lemme ride it one more time......With this playoff system, for alot of schools, this is their easy way out.

But Parkview's football team has been playing together since 5th grade, so it all evens out.

While the public/private split is one of the most asinine concepts from a big picture perspective, there are numerous problems on the micro-level as well.

For instance, I don't understand why there is a 10-team bracket for division I and an 11-team bracket for division II, when a good majority of the division II schools could compete with the division I schools. The result is two separate tournaments for a total of 21 teams - not even enough to fill one pre-split bracket.

because U-High who was in class 3A whined about their enrollment (being 1/5 of Jesuit's) as a reason not to want to play big schools in the playoffs

yet U-High football schedules 5A Rummel and Mandeville this season

the saving grace is that most all of the select state champions produced by this system would have been worthy winners in combined brackets as well

Not fair to the likes of St. Michael, Vandebilt, ED White and St. Louis to put them with Catholic League

No - players add and each year through 6-7-8 about 60% play 5th grade on up.

STM has a decided depth advantage

If Parkview plays like they did against U-High last week there isn't a team in the classification that can beat them. I thought the winner of that game last week would win it all and PBS dominated that game. If they have a repeat performance, I think they win by a couple scores.

STM is talented no doubt but this PBS team is damn good. They have lots of seniors on offense and they've been running the ball hellaciously as of late. Also, Parkview non district foes included Riverside, Catholic High and John Curtis(not to mention playing U High twice also), they are battle tested and ready. They're used to playing in the Dome so the stage won't be too big for them.

This is a huge deal that many people overlook.

Parkview wins this one comfortably.

parkview's qb is going to north carolina to be a slot receiver and i imagine a punt returner. all i know.

He's the only player on the team that stands out as a legit power 5 recruit. If he was taller he could probably go anywhere in the sec.

WTF does this mean?

Should be a good game. Can PBHS stop the STM passing game vs can STM stop the PBHS running game? One thing I will say is STM couldnt stop the Catholic-BR running game earlier in the season

By no means STMs best team. But definitely a gutsy group of kids led by QB Bellamy and WR Begue.
