20 years ago, I lived by myself at the Warwick on Jefferson Highway and then moved closer to campus because $375 seemed "too expensive." Shudder to think what it is now.

First place off campus was a 3 bedroom townhouse for $400/month.

Left there and moved to a 4 bedroom house for $900/month.

Last place was a brand new 1 bedroom for $400 and I thought that was a fortune until I graduated and moved to a real city.

Is this a thread where folks with rich parents brag about paying rent during college?

Hate to break it to you but most of us just crashed on couches til we graduated.

Uptown New Orleans, in good hoods: $425 and $365 mo, no roommates. Decent 1br/studios. At LSU, $60/mo off Brightside w too many roommates in a duplex. $200 for 2 BR w a roommate off Acadian.

My very first place when I was 18 was about 500 feet from ASUs campus and it was a one bedroom with all utilities included for $475 a month and that was in 1996, it's crazy because the electric bill alone in the summer would have been at least $200 if it wasn't included. By the end of college I lived in a much nicer complex in Old Town Scottsdale about 500 feet from all of the bars and I had a 3bd 2ba apartment for just me and it was $1250.

Rented a house with 4 other guys. I think we each paid ~$150 per month. It's amazing how cheap I lived those days.
