Not leaving Lafayette. The dude makes a million a year, is the king of the city, and only has to make the New Orleans Bowl.

not really. There are better coaches to go after than JImbo. Jimbo is les Miles 2.0. Plus, thank god, he's not coming here. Why in the hell would he make a lateral move anyway.

How much worse do you want this situation to get? This is LSU, we don't make that kind of hire.

This reminds me when Saban went to Miami and Pete Richardson was offended that LSU didnt offer him the LSU job.

Read my previous post. This was done 'tongue in cheek' It was done to illustrate what kind of predicament LSU may find themselves in if this new hire does not go well. I must say, the overwhelming majority of you have disagreed, but been very civil save for one angry poster.

Jimbo Fisher is NOT coming to LSU.
Jimbo Fisher is NOT coming to LSU.

Read it, say it, repeat it, let it set in. You will sleep better at night.

Because hiring Derek Dooley 2.0 shouldn't be what this coaching search is about. We should be on the top tier, not Mississippi State's backup plan.

I posted this somewhere yesterday.

I would be happy with any one of these:
(In no particular order)

Larry Fedora
Chip Kelly (I doubt this happens)
Rich Rodriguez
Dave Doeren
Mark Helfrich
Chris Petersen (Prob not leaving)
Jimbo Fisher
Dan Mullen
Hugh Freeze (Prob not leaving)

The jury is still out on these coaches: Justin Fuente, Jeff Brohm, PJ Fleck, Lance Leipold, Brian Harsin, Matt Rhule, Tom Herman, Gus Malzhan, Scott Frost, Scott Satterfield, Bob Stitt, Rod Carey, Chuck Martin, Matt Campbell (Toledo), Dana Holgersen,

Although these guys are proven winners, I don't want: Mark Dantonio, Gary Patterson, or Art Briles because of their age.

Ok here is the deal. Jimbo is going through a divorce due to his wife sleeping with a black assistant coach at Florida St. This is more the reason he is ready to leave Florida St. Ed Orgeron is leaving now for the head coach at Syracuse. It's pretty much a done deal and will be announced soon. Very soon.
