If LSU does not land Jimbo Fisher, why not go after Mark Hudspeth at UL-Lafayette. Look what he has done there in 4 years. This year he has had some bad luck, but in time and with LSU's resources, the sky's the limit.

I love what Hud has done at ULL, but you don't go from coaching UL-Lafayette to LSU. He's got to make one or two more successful stops at larger mid-majors before he will be considered for premiere jobs.

Like Russilo said on the radio yesterday. You don't fire the winningest coach in LSU history, a guy who is the winningest coach in the sec since 2005, who has won a national championship unless you have someone ready to step in. You don't fire him to shop around or we are going to have a mess. So if Jimbo were to not work we would be fricked. It isn't just like we can go to the coaches super market and grab the best one we see. People need to think rationally about this. We aren't just going to have whole sale change and this issue will be fixed.

Listen Mark, thanks but no thanks.

Good points. As I have said before we have moved down the coaches ladder quite a bit from the point of many on the rant that we can get any coach. Good Luck.

He hasn't won a conference title and the mf is about to put them on probation. Congrats on the dumbest post of the day.

Get counseling, sir. Why would you want someone to kill himself over who he suggests as a football coach? Why call someone a moron who you have never met? You take all of this and yourself much too seriously. Where did you learn manners?

You could break the record of most down votes with that post. Good luck.

Hudspeth? Do you remember Curley Halmann?

This post was done, "tongue in cheek" It is not dumb, but illustrates the predicament that LSU could find themselves in if they do not get this right. Regardless of what we all think in that LSU would have coaches line up to come here, just look at the difficulty that Texas had two years ago and the predicament they are in now. Florida has apparently done well with Jim McElwain, but at the time, it was not the sexy hire that one expected from a school like Florida. We are going to find out how big the LSU brand is soon enough.
