I prefer Miller Lite over Southern Drawl. To say RC is terrible might be extreme. Guess it's just not my style.

I'm excited. I found Envie underwhelming and had no plans to buy it again. I think Envie could be the new, main flagship beer that Parish sells if they do this right.

I recently had an outstanding pale ale that was perfectly balanced. It's what a pale ale should taste like:

Pseudo Sue

I'm hoping Envie has similar aspirations.

if we have Pseudo Sue on our hands, we'll all be set.

So you're saying Envie should emulate one of the 5 best APAs out there?

What a fascinating proposition! Parish should give you a job. They'd be making world class beer in no time with ideas like that.

Maybe I'm not great with words. What I meant to say is that Pseudo Sue is a perfectly balanced pale ale. Toppling Goliath also has an American DIPA, King Sue. I'm not sure which came first. I assumed Pseudo Sue was a result of making a pale ale based on King Sue, much like how Envie will be based on GITM. I love GITM, so the new Envie could be very good.

I dunno that I'd call it balanced, but, okay.

Now why would you f*ck with one of my favorite beers?

Wish they'd mess with Canebrake. There is a reason that stuff is always available.

It probably has something to do with the fact that they make a veritable shite ton of it

It sells pretty well and provides the revenue for them to do other good things. I can't be mad about it.

Isn't that the point of a flagship beer?

Parish used to not be able to keep it on the shelves. People love that beer. It's not my type of beer, but a lot of people love it, so I don't see why you'd want them to mess with it.

I just wish they'd make more of their good products that are largely unavailable.

Even if they did, it still wouldn't make it to Hotlanta

Most readily available ingredients + highest profit margin in their portfolio* = Not gonna let up anytime soon.

*just a guess on my part.

Eh. No worries. I've got plenty over here to keep me satisfied. I would like to be able to at least sample when I am in Louisiana though.

Baby Ghost Envie? With the potential bombshell effect on my drinking habits and fridge space, this is the beer I'm most intrigued about trying at GRD tomorrow. Hell, I might even try it before I get shitefaced.
