I will say that the walkers entombed in melted glass from a green house that burned was pretty cool and creative, but that was about the only good idea they had this week.

I could see the RPG/launcher on the dangling walker's back still being there, but the 3 in the truck and the cigars were pretty nonsensical. At the very least, they could be triggered without the launcher, so somebody would have taken them.

I'm sure this has been asked and answered a few times now, but did that person say "don't come back" on that scrambled transmission at the end?

I havent read the thread yet because I'm trying to watch it online. Everytime I try to watch this episode on AMC.com it cut to Badlands at the 25 minute mark. Is anyone else having this issue?

All I heard was "Help". I also don't get where all the Glenn guess have come from. It makes some sense, but just didn't sound like him to me. I think the couple that shook down Daryl fits the voice better.

If it was Glenn, he's probably trying to stay quiet, so he may sound a bit different.

Is there any explanation for why those two turned on Daryl instead of going back to Alexandria with him, or is this just a 'nothing makes sense during a zombie apocalypse' moment?

And why did Daryl abandon his bike if it worked perfectly fine?

I was watching with closed captions and it only said

quote:

Man: Help.

I thought it was very interesting that they went out of their way to not show us the new group leader who obviously will be a new antagonist probably in the 2nd half of the season. Was it just for dramatic effect?

They were just introducing a character that they hadn't cast yet. They did the same thing with Michonne, whose face was obscured by a hoodie (so racist).

They cast the guy pretty recently. IMDB had a big article on its front page that kind of spoiled the character before this episode. I will say that I'm a huge fan of the actor.

Depends on how long the truck was there. Maybe it was a couple of guys passing through a week before and some shite went down.

and why did he set off on foot/stay in the forest to begin with? seems like after the shooting stopped he'd have ridden on back out of there back to the road and his buddies

the exposition & set up on this show is pretty clunky/clumsy (again, i'm only a few eps into this). i'm not going to be a complainer though, because zombies

No explanation was given but they were triggered when he said he wasn't sure if his friends were around or not. They're pretty scared of this group they left so maybe they figure staying in that area to help Daryl look for friends who might not be there is a bad idea.

I'm trying to remember how deteriorated the zombie solider looked. Didn't seem to have be really far gone but maybe more than a few days/weeks?

He was deteriorated enough for the poll to rip through his shoulder once he started moving around a little bit.

I'm liking the introduction of a new group of people that seems to be well armed and almost militarized.

The man and two women running away from them clearly show there is some ruthless things going down.

The woman mentioning something like "some people will trade anything for safety" sounds like a sex for safety trade. A totally plausible scenario in a post apocalyptic world.

And the guy saying "we will not kneel" and to Darryl about him being a hired killer for a roof over his head and 3 meals a day.

This is like the anti-Alexandria with a person (or group) leading a community in totalitarian fashion.

This won't jive well with Rick and his team.

I'm surprised there wasn't more discussion of the excellent cleavage shots we were receiving.

Actually, it makes all the sense in the world to me. The shooting stopping could have meant Sasha and Abe were dead. If so, the sound of that bike would be a homing beacon for that group to find him. He could leave the bike and scope things out in a much more low-key manner. After being sure the coast was clear, he could return, get the bike, and ride out.

Didn't see it mentioned but did anyone notice Daryl's Jesus pose at the beginning of the episode when he was lying down in the woods? Foreshadowing?
