I just accepted a job in Alexandria and will soon move up there.

Where's a good place to live (on a non-OT baller budget), what's fun, good place to get a drink, etc.

looking for a good scouting report for CenLA

I lived in Alexandria for a year in Magnolia Trace apartments, and they were good.

Where you gonna be working? Also if you are single you won't like it much, if you have a family it's the perfect place for you... Also we are gonna have to have a WWE PPV watch party!!!

Ranked 11th in America as the most dangerous places to live. Enjoy!

Consider Pineville over Alexandria. Seriously it's a shite hole.

Not a damn thing unless you spend a lot of time in the woods.

Crime is relegated to the hood. Not a dangerous city at all. Spirits is a great place to eat and drink, and Finnegan's Wake is a nice little bar to hang out in. Not a bad place to live at all.

I have three cousins from there. All three left the first chance they had.
Join a hunting club and buy a boat because it really is sportsman's paradise. There just isn't much else there though.

Spirits is that best place for food and a few beers. Food it pretty good and not pricey. There's a place off 28 close to Magnolia Trace called Top Shelf that's not bad for a drink. They have 2 ok golf course the Links and Oak Wing.

Been working up there a year and it's serious the worst place ever. Do NOT move there.

Debarge's has really good crawfish (when in season), and good boiled shrimp (get their dip). Their cracklin's are the best in Alex, that's not saying a whole lot.

Brocato's has good plate lunches and really good Philly cheese steak sandwiches. If you're working at LSUA Brocato's will not be an option for lunch. It's too far to make on a lunch hour.

Most people hunt, fish, or workout. Not much else to do.

If there has ever been anything you'd like to learn how to do, now is the time. Learn how to grill, cook, get a masters, play a musical instrument, work on improving yourself, or get in shape (if you're not already in shape). You will have plenty of time for this.
