There is much shame in having plans during an LSU game, other than watching said LSU game.

Whoever set the prices in SC made a big mistake.

I don't think they did. They'll have half the stadium filled for the same revenue they would have gotten at 50% discounted ticket prices

ut I'd have thought most fans would have had 11am-4pm blocked tomorrow to watch the game on TV anyway.

you people grossly under estimate the amount of fans that came in from all over the state, and in some case out of the state.

And even if I had that time blocked to watch the game, that wouldn't necessarily mean I'm in town to watch it.

I think alleva is way out of line, trying to shame people into buying tickets

Ehh, I'm about as pissed at him as I am at people who are unable to attend this game -- meaning not at all.

I look forward to enjoying the game - on TV - I can't go either.

they interviewed a guy from the ticket office on the news this morning and he said there would be trailers set up around campus with the ability to sell and print tickets

Great idea. That should help if there is a big walk-up crowd.

I couldnt imagine reading all this thread but do people realize that USCe isnt coming down on the price bc maybe they dont want LSU to have a bigger advantage then they already do?

Never a good idea to turn on a fanbase like this. Heard him on Matt Moscona's show today and boy, when it was over I knew this would not go over well in tRant

Real fricking bad for Baton Rouge when we're hosting the game on short notice with limited resources and didn't set the prices. Get out.

My opinion ....since the late decision was made on Wed.... Set price at 25.00 ticket ...first come first serve until the seats are filled. They would have sold more tickets and made more money then what is happening today.

Screw alleva...I'm a season ticket holder who makes literally every home game and most away. Just so happens that the trip to sc for me included a stop in Augusta so my wife could see some family she hasn't seen in a long time. I didn't want her to cancel, so I just went with the original plan. It's hard for people to change course on such short notice, especially considering folks plan heavily around away games and open weeks.

Sold more tickets... Yes
Made more money... No

For simplicity let's use an average price of $60 per ticket and say we have sold 40,000 tickets

$60 x 40,000 = $2.4 Million

$25 x 96,000 = $2.4 Million

no way we would have sold 96,000 tickets in 2 days. Plus even if we did we'd be nearly maxed out and made the same money. As it stands now we are making the same money with potential to add a lot more.
