No doubt. I am not even sure where any camps got approved. I think the one in Vinton did and there was another one that quietly snuck by because it started as an RV park so no one paid attention to it.

They only temporarily delayed part of the Sasol project as far as I know, but they are still expected to build it eventually. The main part of that project is still going forward as anyone who drives behind the hundreds of dump trucks on Old Town Rd can attest to.
Its all tactical by Sasol, I worked there for 5 years, when the built Echo 2 unit they did the same thing, kept putting a hold on the job over and over. They are doing this so they only have to work on 1 or 2 units at a time. They dont want to have to hire 7000 workers all at once, all while coming straight out with a ton of money to build the units all at once. So they are going to do a slow build all while making the product in the Echo 2 unit that makes a couple billion dollars per month. Its a smart move by Sasol, you wont hear this info many places btw, and I know it for a fact because I know some people in high places at Sasol.
The product they are making at Echo 2 they are the only ones making it in the world.

Agree the lng bubble has busted, at least for the next 5-10 years. This is just a proposed project, it has no customers and no financing. There's about 20 proposed projects like this.

Stout what does the oil and gas industry look like over there? I need an internship in PETE for this summer

A new one being built on the Cameron Creole exit right across for Vegas Magic.
Probably be some old skeezers in there though

Ask Shane Guidry how his LNG business plan is working out for him.

I truly have no idea. Someone here might be able to tell you though. Good luck.

Oil field is shutting down. Gas is on a crutch. Best thing to get with is try to get on with the LNG project in Hackberry. Your best bet at this point. Sasol will have some room eventually
The company to get on with is CB&I here in Lake Charles. They have a nuclear building facility and they are also the main contractor for LNG. They are a strict company to work for, but they pay great and have great benefits. You just have to be on your P's and Q's with them and you will be fine.

Well done, Louisiana, really well done. With this move, Roemer has done more for the state than the Criminal and the Racist you voted for ever did.

I work at a local LNG plant and I'm glad that we got our financial backing before the market dipped.

Yeah I may have to check with them. I have heard of a few petroleum engineers getting hired on in midstream jobs. That's really my backup plan right now. I would really like to be a drilling engineer I'm just in it at the wrong time...

Very wrong time. The oil field is laying off left and right man. Very good luck to you though. Hope something works out
