Because without the Melvins, there would be no Nirvana.
The Melvins aren't grunge, but this song has that grunge feel to it and came out in that era.

So yeah, The Pixies are legit. Other than Sonic Youth they are probably the most important band of the last 35 years.

L7 is back together and touring again, too. I wonder if they are still as angry and terrifying? Because they were so awesome, back in the day.
