I thought it was fantastic i've got 4 kids so the room was plenty big enough and the pool and play ground was my younger ones favorite..
I haven't stayed there yet, but I walked the grounds and took a lot of pics one night on our last trip. The Cars outside are is very well done.

Only problem with Carib Beach is the buses are jammed and you end up waiting forever for some of the parks, sometimes your best off getting on the first bus that comes and going from that park to another park if you can.
Also, stay close to the food area otherwise it's a hike to the other side, first week of Nov is not too bad to go, beat the holiday crowds and if you can survive July 4th you can survive anything.

I was talking about renting points though a third party. Seems a lot cheaper than the listed prices. Didn't know if any had experience with it though.

There was a post about it a page or two back. Renting points is typically cheaper. My dad has points and has rented them out. It's an easy process but involves some trust with the owner of the points who books the hotel to your request.

Do it, brother. Best value on the property.

Yes, I've been renting for a few years sloth rough David's DVC rental. He is up to $14/point but he does all the legwork and it's a secure transaction

Doesn't the price somewhat depend on the home resort? Old Key West I would think is cheaper than Grand Floridian. $11/pt vs $15/pt

The ones I listen to regularly are Inside the Magic, WDW Radio Show and WDW News Today. They used to all be weekly but lately WDW Radio Show is the only one that has kept up that schedule. But, if you're looking for podcasts talking about food and travel, that one is a good one. He'll do live restaurant reviews. But it does seem that he likes pretty much anything and everything he eats at Disney. He also does Q&A episodes with the owner of a travel agency that specializes in Disney vacations. So they have some good info there as well.
Thanks

I went by last time and it's okay. POFQ is nicer and if you want to do DDP you can't at SOG.

No, not really. The price per point stays the same but the amount of points needed for a reservation is based differently between resorts, room type, etc.
A non peak week in a studio at BLT may be 136 points, 120 at Boardwalk, 95 at old key west etc.

True. I only assumed the market would drive the prices differently with more people wanting one resort over the other and the need (at times) to book at 11 months.

I've seen very very few instances where a rental didn't go well. By trust, I mean that any special requests or changes will be at the hands of the owner of the points and not the renter. Need to walk a reservation? Want a special room request? Have to have the member number.
Renting is great though. My dad uses the money to fund other vacations. Even after the maint fees, he comes out pretty well.

Reading this thread makes my head explode. Disney seems like one of the most overly complicated vacations a person can take. All this talk about resorts and which buses or trains to take and something about renting points???? WTF? What happened to showing up and buying a ticket to get in the park and waiting in line for a ride. Now you have to do everything months in advance and strategically pick which rides to use your pass on. I never want to do it, not unless I am going with a professional Disney fan and those people are super annoying so I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I'm sure the gay porn post bombs still exist in the deep web somewhere.
