But to me that is legitimate. There is not a lot of QS food at MK that can be described as great. Almost all of it is average and overpriced. So, different is good sometimes as eating the same old thing gets old. Outside of WDW, I would not think the food at BOG was fantastic, but given where we are, I think it is pretty good for QS.
I guess I tend to look at quick service at the entire resort. I'd almost rather hop on the monorail and hit up the Contemporary, Poly or Grand Floridian for a quick bite than eat at BOG again. And, truthfully, a lot of that is also due to the sheer insanity that is getting a reservation there. But I'm also fine at eating at Cosmic Ray's or Columbia Harbor House for lunch.

What are the podcasts? I'm interested in listening.
The ones I listen to regularly are Inside the Magic, WDW Radio Show and WDW News Today. They used to all be weekly but lately WDW Radio Show is the only one that has kept up that schedule. But, if you're looking for podcasts talking about food and travel, that one is a good one. He'll do live restaurant reviews. But it does seem that he likes pretty much anything and everything he eats at Disney. He also does Q&A episodes with the owner of a travel agency that specializes in Disney vacations. So they have some good info there as well.

Cosmic Ray's or Columbia Harbor House for lunch.
ETA: For shits & giggles, someone is usually periscoping live from the parks throughout the day. Watched the Epcot fireworks the other night.

Stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge last New Years. Awesome place, my three year old loved having the animals right outside the balcony. Biggest problem with that place is that it's so inconvenient to every park except Animal Kingdom. Going back in January and staying at Art of Animation. I'm a little worried about staying at a value, but we really aren't ever in the room.

I'm constantly getting notifications of people Periscoping from WDW or Disneyland. I've definitely watched my fair share of Illuminations on my phone over the past few months.

Yeah, that's pretty much the only reason we haven't stayed there. Although I know that my 3 year old would go crazy for it.

What I found is alot of people didn't realize you could use your snack at Starbucks

I'll one up you....if you go during Food and Wine festival you can use snack credits at the food booths.
I'll one up you both...you can use Starbucks gift cards in disney and at times they can be found at discounted websites like restauraunts.com. Also, Landry's owns Yak & Yeti and you can use Landry's G.C.'s there as well.

And I also agree...Be Our Guest for lunch is extremely overrated. Too many other good options in MK for lunch than to deal with the hassle.
We FP'd it last time we went but still waited 30 minutes just to order and they messed that up. The character interaction with Beast (only place in all of WFW for that meet opportunity) puts dinner high up on our list though. Plus, we like the "French" touch they have at dinner.

Yeah don't be.. Stayed there when it first opened got a Lion King Suite and it was really nice.. Hell the suites have 2 bathrooms! that alone was awesome. But dont let the value word bother you..
It's overly Disney in Decor, but worth it.
Plus there's a nice little bar near main pool

They used to be out there in a pair...

It's easily the best of the value resorts and a little one is going to go apeshit over the pool and playground and all of the other theming in the room areas.

Yes, it was one of our favorite pics when our daughter was younger but sadly...no more.

Have y'all ever rented DVC points? Looks cheaper than renting from Disney.
Posted on 9/21/15 at 4:07 pm to CM Tiger83
Disney let's you rent points?
Or you talking about buying into DVC?

I don't believe Disney rents points directly. So maybe he means renting points is cheaper than booking a hotel room at the same resort through Disney?
Posted on 9/21/15 at 4:10 pm to ell_13
There are third party brokers who DVC owners will go through to sell their points alloted for a year. Effectively "renting" out their DVC ownership.
ETA: Its a pretty good option when you are looking at getting a villa. Pretty sure in almost all cases, its cheaper to buy someone's points to do your reservation. Also lets you book the room further in advance, because DVC members have first chance on the DVC villas before they get put on the open market.

I thought it was fantastic i've got 4 kids so the room was plenty big enough and the pool and play ground was my younger ones favorite..

I know about the rental market. But he made it seem like Disney rents directly which isn't true. I was giving him a chance to explain himself.
