i have the lowes troy built/honda motor, $400 3000 psi 2.7 gpm..... i have a huge driveway and this gets job done very well. BIg driveways will always take some time but i dont' need any more juice than what this brings
yeah thats why i dont know if i want to spend $550 on it when i honestly dont know what i'd get for it if i sold it. are these fairly easy to flip?
even though he's letting me use it until i'm done, he's likely going to craigslist it and i won't have access to it again.

Buy it. I have no idea what Honda does but those engines can sit all year and crank after 2-3 pulls.
it was very fussy initially. i had to "find" the sweet spot for the choke and it seems you have to have someone holding the trigger down on the sprayer for it to crank properly.

For $1,500 you are not paying for the Honda Engine. You are paying for the much higher quality pump.

By the way, that unit can skin a properly secured cat at 60 yards.

Why in the frick would a pressure washer ever cost $1500?
Because it's for commercial use and built to last. You can get a POS for much cheaper.

I have that exact same one

I used this same exact one to clean out garbage cans. Accidentially sprayed myself in the toe. Cut right through the skin

First time I've heard it described quite like that.
Seriously, I know next to nothing about the differences in various small engines, but to cold start this thing, you have to close the choke all the way, start it (several pulls later), let it sit for a while, try to open the choke at which point the thing cuts off. Rinse and repeat until she's finally in the mood. My push mower, on the other hand, doesn't even require an oil change or priming. Make sure it has gas and oil, starts on first pull.

You must not hunt doves/teal. There is no sport in a "properly secured cat".

Different pump. The money is in the motor AND pump.

you need to rent the attachment for cleaning driveways. it looks kind of like a lawn mower and it covers a ton of ground. it also gives you a consistent result so that when it dries there are no marks from using just the wand.
ETA: I have a commercial pressure washer with a boiler on it. Hot water helps tremendously with built up mildew and dirt.

yeah its a time-consuming process fo sho.
i am using the little 'spinning' black head that sounds like a chainsaw when its going full speed.

That is not a bad price for that unit. I would jump at that deal

I just rent the same washer when I need it for like $50. Maybe once a year I need a pressure washer, so it's really not worth $1500 to me. But I will say that it was pretty awesome. That along with the driveway/sidewalk cleaner attachment made hours worth of work go by in 20 minutes.

Literally, all I needed to see.
