Dishwasher at a pizzeria in NY. I was 15.
Owner was an Italian man who prided himself in owning an Alfa Romeo. He got PISSED at me because I had never heard of that manufacturer and pronounced it "rome-e-o"

16 years old, Sonic...place was so shitty I made shift manager in 3 weeks and assistant manager in 3 months because of the insane amount of turnover. I would open up at 3 in the morning after going to whatever club let a 17 year old in and cook burgers for me and my friends and whatever chicks tagged along. Holy shite at the irresponsibility.

12 years old working at a friends family Christmas tree farm. Helped shake and bale trees, then graduated to giving tractor rides, and helping tie down trees to customers cars. Good money for a young kid and it was fun hanging out with my friends. 10 or 12 of us did this from junior high through high school. Good times.

What was your first job and how old were you?
First work experience was when I was around ten and I had to go chop cotton and bush hog the turn roads on the farm.
First job was when I was 15 and I worked in the pro shop at the local country club.

12 - i pumped gas at my dad's full service gas station on Airline right before MSY. he paid me $50 a week, but i had a roof over my head, lunch everyday, and most anything a little boy wanted. occasionally i saw a hot out of towner who had to fill up before she turned her rental car in.
i ended up upgrading my pay by selling cokes and chips to the mechanics near by and people stopping in for gas at a gas station that didnt have a real store.

Yes, most people try to hit you while you are driving the EZ Picker Cart and all I had was the rain gear attachment that gave just enough for me to feel it.

14...farm that grew peaches, plums, mayhaws, muscadines, tomatoes, watermelon, and whatever else the old man owner wanted to grow...road my bike 2.5 miles, one way, every day that first summer...55 hours a week... $5 an hour.
However, a friend of mine and I had a lawn mowing and car washing business at 9. We even had cards. Lol. Evaded taxes like a mother fricker on this one. Ignorant business owners ran this one. My dad even charged me to help work on our equipment. We got him back though. Pumped that boat dry every week. Lol.
