I wish I worked in IT

They wear what they want. They look like hobos most of the time. Everone has a neck beard.
They dont do shite. My computer is always freezing up.
And they have dirt on everyone. That's why I'm posting here and not telling them to their face they aint shite.

Lots of different positions within IT. I'm not even allowed a casual Friday. We have the same dress code as the rest of the company. I'm not end user support so IDGAF if your computer is freezing because you don't know how to use it. I'm busy making sure the Network and environment don't ever go down, planning updates and upgrades, and working funny times so you don't ever experience downtime.
But the dirt part is pretty true if they are so inclined.

IT guy at my old company would print out these lengthy, and quite dirty gchat conversations some hot slut in my office would have daily with multiple guys. He would show some of us from time to time.

Funny story I was in a client meeting with some of their IT guys and one of them walks in wearing a Kevin Garnett jersey with nothing underneath. I just started busted out laughing because that is what he was wearing to work that day and didnt care what anyone thought

When I go into the office (rarely) I dress nicely. I have a full beard, not a neck beard.
I "do shite" as much as the other people posting here.
If you knew how much the IS guys make, you would probably be more upset than you already are.

I'm in I.T. I can wear a button up and tie or a company logo'd polo with slacks. Slacks can be substituted for jeans if working outside or pulling cable through an attic space.

One computer freezing up is probably pretty low on the priority list. Everyone thinks their little problem is an emergency. It's not. Some of in I.T. have network infrastructure, servers, upgrades, etc. to deal with. If your I.T. staff jumped every time a user thought there was a problem with his computer, nothing would ever get done.

I work part time in IT. Most every computer issue is caused when someone downloads a bunch of shite on their work computer that they shouldn't.
Spent half the day today fixing a woman's computer who corrupted all her files downloading all kinds of toolbars and programs (none of them work related).
