Not all evidence is equal. That should be a given.
So the fact that Doyle left his property to confront Gonzalez means nothing to you? Shooting Gonzalez in the back means nothing to you?

But you are working in hindsight now. How is Doyle supposed to know that Gonzales doesn't have a gun in his car he's trying to get to?
Are you trying to invoke "Stand Your Groun", cause it doesnt work like that. Once he presents the gun, how does he know Gonzales isnt going to his car to drive away from the scene and get his family out of harms way? Stand Your Ground states their needs to be an "immediate and imminent threat"...once Gonzales started backing way, he became neither to Doyle yet he fired his gun anyway. It became a crime as soon as Gonzales took one step back and became less of a threat with each one.
Doyle cant use the "Castle Docrine" either, cause he was never attacked.

This isn't like Trayvons. With the two 911 calls going on throughout the entire confrontation, prosecutors can show pretty much exactly what happened with very little doubt.
But if any state could frick this up, it would be Florida.

This is so ridiculous, I have to chuckle a bit. What a bunch of psychopaths. Both guys and the wife. Let the road rage ruin your day for those 10 seconds and just go along with the rest of the day

Again, if it was in Doyle's driveway then he hasn't left his property. If it occurs on the side of the road then Doyle's actions are probably unjustified.

It's going to depend on forensics

It wasn't on his driveway. It was on his neighbor's property.

Ok.

Then that changes things. Is that in the video? Because it isn't in the article.

For the third time in the thread, yes. It is in the press conference video, part 1.

From the facts in the story, I wouldn't charge Doyle with murder.
Really?

This would have never happened if all parties had been armed, children included

It's not like Doyle lives in a mansion. From his driveway to the property line is what, 10ft? I am guessing he was going towards Gonzalez after the first shot, so it is understandable how the can say he was "off of his property". If he was parked on the street, Gonzalez had to have been away and come towards Doyle (based off of the direction in the 911 recordings) and towards Doyle across the neighbor's yard.
Witness also said, "The guy actually that got shot was coming from the guy's house that shot him".
Sounds like Doyle parked, Gonzalez parked, got out and went towards him yelling he was gonna kick his arse, Doyle got out and started shooting, Gonzalez started running back after getting hit in the chest and the follow-up shots hit him in his back.
Gonzalez stopped one house past Doyle's. I bet he regrets not continuing driving like his wife told him. Just think how close he was to leaving....oh wait, he wanted to confront Doyle

Instead of speculating, why don't you just watch the fricking video that tells you exactly what happened? IS that asking so much?
Posted on 7/27/15 at 11:40 am to TopHog1
So when a cop fears for his life and shoots, he's free.
When someone really fears for his life and the evidence points to good reason, he gets charged right away.

Two boneheads. Having been in similar situations as Gonzales, ie, road rage driving with wife and kids in car, I can't fathom how he followed the guy to his home, got out, and apparently had words. You're placing your family in danger at that point, which is the worst.
However, Doyle appears to be the most at-fault person because of how it escalated with little or no reason, although you could argue Gonz is the one who brought it to that point by following, getting out, etc.

I did. I was on my phone earlier, so I had ads. On my PC now, so no ads.
Everything I said wasn't speculation. If Doyle shot Gonzalez at his truck, there would have been bullet holes in the truck.
Don't let the media spin cloud your logic. You don't get shot in the chest when you're running away from someone

The two involved were 44 & 51...how pathetic

So if Doyle does time, we have two violent, emotionally unstable men with weapons off the street. That's a win-win.
