Damn. I thought we had beaten our annual injury bug this year, but it's a long season.

THIS is typical Arsenal--finding out key players are out for almost a month after strolling off the pitch with what seems like a minor scratch.

Relax, there is an International break where we can say no. We actually have real depth. Next three matches are going to be weird, but we will be okay.

Still, the thought of Joel Campbell starting on the right in PL matches and vs. Bayern for a contending club is scary.

And yes, if Debuchy was playing better, I'd be all for moving Hector forward.

Basically this. If debuchy wasn't playing like hot garbage I would feel better starting Hector at RW instead of Campbell who kind of sucks

Even scoring the goal, Joel played only alright. The best thing he did was to help Bellerin with Montero. He had some nice shots, but he really likes to wrap his foot around the ball. I wish he would have played in Giroud when he got the ball on the half-turn, and I wish he played Cazorla wide when he took that shot when he tried to beat Fabianski near post.

It wasn't a bad outing, but at this point he's exactly like Podolski with a much better defensive work-rate. He's surprisingly slow and seeks to shoot the ball once he gets into any shooting position. The only one I was really annoyed with is the one where he had Giroud in a little bit of space.

Speaking of Giroud should have done much better than he did on that one pass from Sanchez where Ozil made an excellent dummy run.

Overall, our first half was terrible, and our second half was good. But winning games we shouldn't win is a characteristic of those great Man U squads from 2009-to when Ferguson retired. Hopefully we can continue winning when we aren't exactly on our game.

Swansea has been a serious thorn in our side. To win there 3-0 is a great result and performance. I have zero negative to say. We can only pay who is fit and to win like we did today was fantastic.

Exactly. That's the kind of matches you have to win to win the Prem. The kind of match we would've lost a year ago.

It's easy to look at the weaknesses, and there are going to be some when your first six choices at RM (Ramsey, Ox, Jack, Theo, Welbeck, Rosicky) are all out. But you have to also accept that The guys who played today came up big. Joel's work rate on Montero was great. Everything Montero did he had to earn.

Giroud also continues to deliver. Really impressed with his resiliency lately. He and Theo are bringing the best out of each other.

Coq was superb today in every aspect of his game. Monreal and Bellerin have a case as the best in the league at their positions. Alexis was off and we still scored 3.

And Mesut Ozil has a case as player of the year so far. 9 assists in 11 matches is ridiculous. I said in the first half that this was a match he had to take over. And he did. 2 assists, and created the Koscielny goal, too. He's on pace to break Thierry's EPL record of 20 assists

Since he got back from the injury against Chelsea last season he has been the best player in the league. His form right now is unreal. If we can ever get everyone healthy at the same time, Arsenal will be the best team in England by a very wide margin.

Coq

Isn't our best player, but he is probably Arsenal's most important player.

Also, I can't say enough about Cech and Bellerin. Theyare both the best at their positions in the league.

Any way to show conversion rates, specifically good chances converted?

That last goal they conceded was pathetic. They allowed Costa to dribble box to box without even attempting to challenge him. He was surrounded by 4 Arsenal defenders. It was a 2v4 and yet he was allowed acres of space, and they even allowed Muller free as well. Not likely that goal differential will play a role, but that was just abysmal.

Games like this worry me. Sometimes Arsenal have no spine. Just got embarassed, pretty pathetic. Good thing the BPL doesn't have elite teams this season.

Need to win out and hope olympiakos don't get a pt from Bayern.

With olympiacos pulling out the win and sitting at 9 points, what is the scenario that sees us advance? Is it as simple as win out and have bayern win out? Then make it on goal differential?

Arsenal needed that game to end 4-2 and they would own the tie breaker over Bayern. But that would require them to lose the last two for it to even matter.

After head to head it goes by gd. Bayern doesn't have to win out, they just need to beat olympiacos.

Gotta hope Bayern beat Olympiakos by more than 1 goal, and then it won't matter. Arsenal would advance if they win out.

Yep. Today was tough, but expected when Bellerin, Koscielny, Ramsey and Walcott aren't available. Giroud played really well. Hearing Bellerin is out on Sunday.

Is it from the goalpost to the ribcage?
