Spinoff: Worst Hotel Stay You've Ever Had

Mine: Checked in at a Marriott in Houston. Put the key card in the door, turned handle, and the chain stopped me from opening the door any further. I looked into the room, and there was a half naked, Mexican hotel employee spanking his meat to a porno.

Best Western in Minden, LA. I've stayed in a lot of hotels but I was scared to touch anything in that room.

I forget the hotel but it was in Gulfport. Got my key and went to my room. Opened door to find someone sleeping in the bed. Went back and got a different room. A few hours later I'm in bed and someone opens my door. Luckily I chained the door.

A motel I stayed at in Tuscaloosa for a bama/lsu game years ago
I couldn't tell you the name. We stacked a few pieces of furniture against the door each night before we went to bed

The Cleopatra Inn in Panama City Beach. I was 21 and in undergrad. It was a real shithole, but we were broke as hell. It was disgusting. I don't know if I got crabs from the sheets or the nasty chick I screwed from Mississippi.

Another successful story of quality service for it's hotel guest. I'm sure he received a promotion.

Pretty much any Baton Rouge hotel After Hurricane Katrina. Slept in the car in a parking lot one night after a game because hotel canceled my reservation on game day after I spoke with them many times that week. The rest of the season didn't get much better. Hotels were trashed with people living in them and not giving a shite.

The Chief. Main Street by the Dome in Houston, May, 1987. To say it was a shithole is an insult to shitholes.

Some place in Beaver Creek YT in 2000 or the Little Su Lodge in 2002. Both were ATCO buildings slapped together to form a "Motel." No electricity in Beaver Creek due to high winds, 20 below and wind blowing through the walls. The Little Su Lodge room was 25 bucks (a friends family owned it) and the sink had no plumbing hooked up. No toilet, no shower. Took a piss in the sink and it just poured on the floor, and froze.

I was doing some training in Glen Burnie Md and the hotel where the meetings were actually going on was booked so I ended up staying a Quality Inn or something similar nearby.
They were remodeling and painting everywhere so it was pain to get around. You had to take a different route every day to get to your room. The room was run down and the icing on the cake was after 5 days in there I discovered what I found out later was a broken crack pipe under the bed.

I forget which hotel but right next to the Buccaneers stadium in Tampa.
Got my room key, went to room, opened the door, and there was a very attractive woman (probably around 30) changing clothes in front of the mirror less than 10 feet away. I saw her in all her glory.
Needless to say she started screaming, and I started apologizing profusely and closed the door. I went down to the desk and raised holy hell. She joined me at the desk about 3 minutes later.
We both got our entire stays comped.

Days Inn, Atlanta by the Airport. Flew First-Class and missed connecting flight home because of a passenger that had to be forcibly removed from the flight. That place was damn nasty and I was pissed that Delta put me up there to begin with. Come to find out, next morning, most of the coach passengers got to stay at the Renaissance and most of first-class got stuck at Days Inn. WTF?
On the bright side, they gave me an extra 25,000 miles....so it wasn't all bad.

The Brewton Inn in Brewton, AL. Started working for a new company and this was the place that they put me up in. It is really the only place to stay for work when in the area. Check in and go to room. AC would not work and was leaking onto the carpet with mold going up the wall. I get them to change my room and the next room has about 2,000 spiders in the tub and the door will not lock. I stayed there for one night and made the trek to Atmore, AL and stayed at the Hampton Inn. A couple of the guys ended up with bed bugs and had about $3,000 worth of tools stolen off of the trucks. I now make my own hotel reservations and will drive as long as I have to so that I am comfortable with where I am staying.
