Cops are out of control in this country, but I have no idea what the American Flag burning has to do with that.
Nor do I want cops to be disarmed. That is just silly. I just want them to be educated and mentally stable

Interesting scenario:
Bikers start beating the shite out of these people for burning the flag. Cops are surrounding the events as the anti-police flag burners scream for help. Police just chill and take selfies for instagram.

I wonder if they realize that by making these statements they are just giving the protest publicity and credibility. If everyone just ignored it , it would lose any effectiveness it could have had.

I mean, I agree.
But these people have to realize that protesting against police by burning the flag will do two things:
- Get people violently pissed off at them.
- Prevent police from wanting to help the people that are protesting against them.
People wanting to disarm police are not grounded in reality. There is a happy medium to controlling police brutality without completely neutering them of their ability to counter deadly force with deadly force. They just need to be more selective with their officers, give them completely different training, and change the overall “blue line” mindset that gives them a “us vs. the world” mentality. It’s a pack mentality they have that is causing their overreaching and right-infringing tendencies.
