Rabbit at my doorstep,

No bite marks. Wondering what could have left it there.
I went to my truck to grab charcoal and went inside. I came out 5 mins later and the dead rabbit was there. No fighting heard and the dog was inside w/ me. Idk what would have killed it and left it there. It was around 3pm so it's weird that a rabbit was out in front at this time.
My only guess is a snake bite but I don't see why it would come to the front door to die. if a snake tagged it right there he'd have ran away and died.
