Really ? I didn't catch that, but if it was, it's a sign that they did this movie the right way.

It's doing Avengers money.

And it will probably be Avengers like. With Pratt, Neil, and Goldblum all coming together to stop whatever the hell the plot is.

Oh yeah, with Wu escaping, what's going to happen next? Theories? I can't see any sort of logical plot come out of it except a lawyer movie or an unleashing of raptors in Yellowstone and... Yeah. Definitely only a lawyer movie can come of this haha

Yeah, it is a definite set up for another movie but where the frick do you go with that as a logical plot? Unleashing hybrid dinosaurs upon the world? Chris Pratt seems to be a one and done for the series because he wasn't a renown hunter, he was a trainer/handler that could hunt. If you unleash the hybrids in the wild, how would you bring Pratt back to be a part of it?

Now for my review of the movie. PLOT HOLES ABOUND but still eye candy and entertaining. The trained raptors were an interesting twist on dinosaurs and seem to be within the realm of possibility if you train them from birth. NGen's part with the raptors was dumb and Denoffrio couldn't grasp that they listened to Pratt because of the connection, not randomly taking orders.

At the end, they unleashed a TRex that has spent three movies being super badass, want to kill everyone. And the TRex gets the kill and is like "cool, check you guys later" and walks off. And then the little raptor did the same after Pratt shakes his head no.

All in all, I enjoyed it like I have the others in general. They're beautifully visual movies with cool shite going on but I would rather wait to watch it again in my house. How was the 3D version for anyone who saw it that way?

I really enjoyed it and was more or less what I hoped for. Granted the movie was largely pretty dumb, but this is the definition of a movie where you check your brain in at the door and just enjoy the ride. There was a lot of creativity here and was a great ride.

Granted, I really hated the weaponization plot line. I can not see the practical use of using Raptors in the field, unless of course you're a depraved sadist. The only use I think they could be is tracking quickly, but there are several other means to do that just as effectively. And then when the guy looks at the destruction caused by the iRex and still plans on using it, I just couldn't help but wonder if the guy was certifiably insane.

Did anyone else feel bad for Katie McGrath? Here's an up and comer who had a bit part as Zara, Claire's assistant. The most memorable part about her character was that pretty gruesome death scene they gave her. I mean...holy crap. Talk about overkill.

Yeah, I think they went too far with that scene. That death was just plain brutal and twisted, and I don't think she did anything to deserve that.

Who didn't see the assistant dying? And it wasn't that bad.

Loved the movie. 9 out of 10 for me.

I could either see ingen advancing the fighting dinos line, or Wu fleeing to China with embryos to establish a new lab and park.

They could have gotten the same point across by just having her dragged away by the flying dinosaurs. Instead they drop her repeatably, carry her through various means, and then ends up with her being swallowed whole by that giant swimming creature. It was just plain fricked up.

Yeah it was weird, they went out of their way to make her death pretty horrible. If they were going to go all overkill on any character it should have been Hoskins.

everyone knew that if the hybrid got out if it's paddock it would be game over
so when they couldn't get a thermal signature why didn't they just check it's tracking device?

they'd have seen immediately it was still inside, and all would be well

instead, they just walk inside?

they must have hired their scientists from Prometheus

otherwise, I enjoyed it immensely

Nevermind the ginormous dinosaur not being seen climbing the super tall enclosure, or that there isn't a geo fence alarm tied to the tracker that would raise all kinds of holy hell upon leaving designated containment.

Or that she apparently needs to get on the phone to get the control room in the car.

Going outside and driving where she thinks the largest carnivore the park has ever seen is running free.

Yeah.

Lots of suspension of disbelief in this one. But just shut up and enjoy it.

Then their security team goes in with non-lethal equipment like idiots.

Next you have the military with the hybrid dead in their sights...a guy that has a fricking rocket launcher...and instead they open up with small arms first, allowing the hybrid to get away.

And I don't care how old the T-Rex was, the thing could just about chase down a jeep yet the chick at the end outruns it in HIGH HEELS.

Not to mention the fact that the iRex knew she had a tracking device placed inside of her. I could buy that it pissed her off and she could dig it out, but for her to wait until the second she escapes and lays a trap to kill everyone? Sorry, but even a human with no outside contact could have figured that shite out. The iRex had to have had some sort of itinerary on exactly how and why she was being kept in order to solve that.

That's what got you? The high heels. By that point you kind of had to know what you were dealing with in this movie. No? I mean, by then I was just like, whatever. I couldn't care less about the nonsense plot and just had fun with the movie. I was too busy looking forward to the badass dino showdown to give a frick about what kind of shoes she was wearing.
