He's still got time in triple A to learn.
If you're in AAA for a couple years, you typically aren't making much of an impact in the Bigs. Not always the case, and is a little different with pitchers. Position players that spend a bunch of time in AAA typically have careers about like Warren Morris.

That is not really correct. Plenty of major league regulars bounced in and out of triple a and the majors.

Unless something changed, he only lost one year of eligibility. That is how it was several years ago anyway. He basically can't redshirt.
Incorrect. I don't know whether his "clock" started or not, but once you've started in an NCAA sport, you have the next five years (6 with medical waiver) and you become ineligible. No matter what.

Help me, who are some guys that have had long/successful careers that had to spend 3-4 years in AAA? I am basing this on a few guys I've known. Played with guys that spent numerous years in AAA and never had more than a cup of coffee. Then, guys like Carl Pavano just zoomed right past AAA.

No. He either has all 5 years left or zero. For the reasons I stated above, I say he has zero.

That's an NAIA school. Not the NCAA. They have like no rules on eligibility.

Warren Morris actually made it to the majors pretty quickly. He didn't stay there long, but it only took him a 2 full seasons in the minors before being called up to start the 199 season. And he finished runner up for NL ROY that year. I just think he is a poor example. I'd compare him more to someone like Matt Clark if we're being completely honest.

Major major downvote. ESPN ranked him as a top 10 prospect to get called up within the last week. He's pitching very well this year. The upvotes are from idiots who are still mad at an 18-year old for making MILLIONS

Fair enough. Morris went back to AAA though and played for a while kind of bouncing back and forth.

$5.25 million makes me think he made the right decision regardless of what happens in the future.

Yes...he made $5+ million. Good decision.
Also no real indication he was the answer at QB for us so don't think tiger fans should feel much sense of loss.

Active duty Military service is the only thing that will stop your clock.
It's how I enrolled at LSU as a FT student in the fall, joined the USN the following fall, came back to LSU 6 years later and was classified athletically as a RS-Sophomore during my short football walk-on career.

Teddy Bridgewater was the 32nd pick in the 2014 draft and made $6.8 million out of college.
Zach Mettenberger is regarded as the best QB at LSU since Jamarcus and made $2.3 million out of college.
Zach Lee made $5 million out of high school.

Hahaha! How can you say that? He made, what, $5M guaranteed or something like that? He could've come here and been developed by the great Miles/Studrawa/Crowton mastermind combo and gone on to sell insurance for all you know.

How did Mett make that much as a 6th Rounder?

125k guaranteed, 2.34 million over 4 years.

How can you possibly say that? The guy is basically a half step away from being called up as a 23 year old.
I love how my first post has 3 downvotes when it's a factual statement.

People are straight up retarded in this bitch. No room for facts here.
