Cocodrie Speck Trip Video from Wednesday (5/20/15)

A few buddies and I took off last Wednesday after looking at the forecast and seeing that conditions should be ideal for catching some hammer trout. Of course, the wind was howling 15-20 when we first got out there, but still managed to boat 125 trout by the end of the day. I was amazed with the amount of boats on the water for a Wednesday. I guess everyone had the same idea we did.

The Houma Oilman's fishing rodeo started on Thursday. People started fishing Monday through the week.

I was bad in the morning, but calmed down pretty good in the afternoon, but your right, its been horrible all weekend.
I almost lost the Drone in the wind early in the AM, the wind was kicking its arse.

Yep, Enstar was our first stop, water was a little dirty, but we picked up about 50 or so there. Headed to Mardi Gras for clearer water and bigger fish, and it didnt fail to produce. I dont think we netted any fish and surprisingly we only lost 2 or 3 at the boat.

I am hearing that the rock pile at the pickets site is already producing some trout. I figured it wouldn't be good there for a while. Cool video that really makes me want to get a drone.
