Yep, I think Mel will realize that Stannis isn't AA for refusing to sacrifice his daughter and will return to the Wall (just in time to save Jon Snoo).
Another interesting theory I've seen is that Jon gets stabbed at Hardhome and left for the Walkers only to be brought back by them and Benjen. That's out there though.

I dunno. I remember her being kind of impressed that Thoros could do it because she considered him just a drunk and a fake. But I think that may have just been in the show not the books.

I do know that she has other powers than sight - making people appear to be someone else (glamouring), surviving the poison that killed Stannis' maester, birthing shadow babies, etc.

By far the best episode of the season. Not a wasted scene in the bunch.

First off, Jonathan Pryce has been amazing as the High Sparrow this season. Every scene he is in he completely dominates. Loved that he's already taken down Cersei, and the bitch is about a reap what she's sewn all these years.

Secondly, it was sad to see Aemon go and think they did his death well. Also like how brave Sam has really become and I really think may be the bravest character in the series.

Next, thank God Tyrion has met with Dany. This is one plot line I am glad they are speeding up on and wish GRRM had done this in the books.

With the Sansa/Reek plotline, I really wish Theon had not ratted on her and started his redemption in this episode, but sadly it didn't happen.

He does do a great job of making the high sparrow believable and giving a hint as to his total motivations.

I'd say Dance probably has turned in the best performance so far. But yes, Dinkledge has been great. Hedley has been very good. Sean Bean did a good job of making it look like he was going to be the show lead until the penultimate episode of S1. Maise Williams has been good.

And I think the actors who play Bronn and Jorah do excellent jobs with portraying their similar but oh so different characters.

Jack Gleeson was fantastic playing Joffrey also. I put him near the top.

And I don't want to be mistaken - the level of acting for the show is very high, overall, with just a few misses and almost none on recurring characters - just the occasional throwaway roles. Lancel and Sansa probably have the weakest actors of folks we see on a regular basis, and neither is terrible. Of course, now Lancel doesn't say much, so that may be "intensity".

I want to give Headey some credit, but the whole role is a softball pitch - she ought to be crushing it and instead, she's hitting doubles and triples.

And the kids have been alright to even better than alright. I also agree Maise has been good - probably the standout "child" actor (she's grown now), but, again, that role completely sets her up and she is fairly well cast (well, when she WAS still a kid she was well cast.)

No. That's the great thing. I'm not sure even he knows totally. If I remember a couple of episodes ago he made a comment that the "Gods are testing/tempting me" or something along those lines. I think on some level he wants what's best for the realm/the people. On some level he's a religious fanatic. And on some level he is susceptible to the whole "power corrupts" thing.

I think Headey has done a fantastic job so far. I lover her smug looks when she makes her moves that always backfires. She is so amused by how good she thinks she is.
