HBO starting to take a page out of the Mad Men books when it comes to episode descriptions.

I think they will never air episode nine this weekend again (historically the action packed climax of the season, with ten being the segue into next season)
this one also screams filler to me. Though remember the source material for this season, books four and five were the fourth and fifth best books, so the show is doing a better job in keeping pacing.
I switched to audio tapes for a lot of chapters here. (plus I really liked the audio book guy's Brienne voice. )

At least the "on the next game of thrones" isn't like mad men. Those never gave you any relevant scenes you never knew what the hell was going to happen

She better not be waiting for long. Sansa needs to stop talking, and start lighting that damn candle.

I can appreciate that approach though.

So "The Gift". Things that could possibly happen in this episode that eludes to the title:

- Arya kills someone other than the girl at the pool in the House of Black and White (come on Meryn Trant).

- There's obviously the plot of land owned by the Night's Watch called The Gift and Jon's intention of settling it with Wildlings.

- Maybe the High Sparrow "gifts" our favorite old lady, the Queen of Thorns, with an opportunity to frick up Ceresi's world.

I'm afraid to even contemplate what can happen for Sansa now though.

They also both tell you exactly who will be in each episode and what the storyline will be by an over explanatory "previously on" session.

Those things really cater to the lowest common denominator, I mean did we really have to remind everyone that Mormont was dead and that he was Jorah pops just for that one "oh your dad's dead" scene?

My Hodor friend didn't even remember who LC Mormont was. It's a necessity for them

That's really sad

They need to make those online accessible, or optional on hbogo

It really is because he's the kind of guy that complains when you talk during the show yet can't remember shite from it

My roommate is like that

Minor fight scene- EVERYBODY SHUT UP

Extremely important dialogue scene-"anyways so as I was saying..."

He still has no idea what Danys name is after 5 seasons, and he thought Khal Drogo was a Targaryn and got mad whenever I corrected him

Wish is why I don't like watching the show with him, drives me up a wall when he's exclaims every episode "gay, nothing happened"
